Luke Cage
Formerly a Hero for Hire, Luke Cage is a guy who traded prison for his powers. Going to jail for a crime he didnt commit, Cage was offered parole if he accepted a secret procedure designed to create a universal cure for disease. Cage accepted and as such, a hero was born.
With skin harder than steel and incredible strength, Cage looked to turn his powers into a method for making cash. A detective with a super spin, Cage wore an afro and spoke in slang, accompanied by the now infamous catchphrase Sweet Christmas. It was also in his early days that Cage formed a long-standing bond with Iron Fist.
Luke Cage spent many years befriending many superheroes across New York from the Fantastic Four, to Spider-Man, to Iron Man and even the Defenders. Cage eventually meets and befriends his future wife, Jessica Jones, a young super-heroine with powers much like his own. His relationship with Iron First remains arguably his strongest though, and together they form Heroes for Hire, a superhero agency.
In later years, after a drunken one night stand, he gets Jessica Jones pregnant and the two move-in together, before ultimately marrying. Now a fully accepted member of the superhero community, Cage has become a member of the Avengers and subsequently become the leader of the Thunderbolts.
Powers:
Super Strength: Cage had the name Power Man for a reason. His strength has increased exponentially and considering he was already a powerful regular human, one can only imagine what hes like as a super-hero. Capable of beating other super powered beings to a pulp, Cage is amongst the strongest in the superhuman community.
Intense Durability: With skin harder than steel, Cage can absorb an incredible amount of punishment and it wont affect him at all. Deflecting bullets and stopping hard steel, Cage has a high pain tolerance thanks to his thick skin.
Increased Healing: Upon further exposure to the formula that gave him his powers, Luke Cage has now developed a faster recovery time and his injuries heal better than before.
Abilities:
Street Fighter: Growing up on the streets, Luke Cage has strong street fighting skills. He knows how to fight honourably but also knows how to get down and dirty, using his surroundings to his benefit.
Martial Arts: Trained by Iron Fist during their days in business together, Luke Cage has training as a martial artist under his belt, further amplifying the street smart she already had beforehand.

Durable Jacket: Exposed to the same formula that made Cage a super powered human in the first place, Cages jacket also has the intense durability of its owner.
