All the dirtsheets are reporting that Chris Jericho and Sin Cara got into it backstage at the WWE show in Leeds, England. There is no word on how or why it happened as the story is just coming in.

This isn't the first time for either man. Both have been involved in backstage shenanigans in the past. Just after Summerslam Jericho took on Brock Lesnar over what happened to Randy Orton during the Lesnar/Orton match. Eyewitnesses say that Vince McMahon had to step in and break it up.

Sin Cara was also involved in some sort of fight with Simon Gotch in the catering area at another show. Gotch was punished by the WWE for that incident and was taken off the house show circuit for awhile.

Because Jericho is a proven veteran and involved with Kevin Owen the WWE Universal Champion right now, speculation is that nothing will happen to him. Sin Cara on the other hand is struggling away in the cruiserweight division, he hasn't been featured very much on TV since the Lucha Dragons broke up. So out of the two of them people are expecting that Sin Cara will take the brunt of any punishment that the WWE hands out, if they do anything about it at all.

Not really I've read reports that Sin Cara had a fight with Sheamus backstage, and there have been a couple more. Not saying that Jericho is an angel or anything. Since it just happened and we don't know much, can't say who's right here and who's wrong, maybe neither.

Some reports are stating that Sin Cara actually knocked Jericho out. There is still no update on why the fight happened and who pissed who off first. Looks like Jericho got the worst of it though. Just hope he's okay to be on RAW tonight as he's the best part of that show right now.

According to Dave Meltzer, the whole thing started with Sin Cara allegedly making "annoying noises" despite a lot of other people on the bus telling him to knock it off. What these "annoying noises" were isn't specified. Jericho then asked him more forcefully to cut it out with Cara reportedly responding "fuck off" to Jericho. More words were exchanged between the two when Cara, allegedly, just suddenly went off and threw some wild right hands. Jericho is alleged to have bitten one of Sin Cara's fingers before they were ultimately pulled apart and Cara was then kicked off the bus.

My guess is that people were tired, in an irritable mood and something stupid ultimately just set them off. Jericho has a big ego and Cara has a short fuse in the first place. At any rate, it sounds pretty pathetic for grown men to get into a scuffle over someone making "annoying noises."

The problem here isn't who is a "repeat offender" but more that shit ALWAYS seems to happen on UK tours... from the plane ride from hell to Arn being stabbed by Sid just down the road from Leeds...

For whatever reasons talents lose their shit once they get out of the US and into the UK... maybe its cos they know the cops don't have guns etc... maybe it's cos they are literally being driven to it by the insane schedule... or perhaps they do party a little too much...

If it's as Meltzer is suggesting, it'd be hard to sanction Jericho, at worst it sounds like he did his "locker room leader" thing and was verbally and physically attacked... once the punch is thrown all bets are off... Quite how you bite someone's finger in a fist is another matter...could it have been a choke situation/hands round the throat/face?

Some will say Jericho should be in trouble and perhaps he should, but he tends to either be the wrong place/wrong situation like Brazil a few years back or with the Goldberg and Brock situations is basically standing up for himself or colleauges... sounds like the same here... Hunico/Sin Cara was pissing people off, as the "senior" guy on the bus, it's with Jericho perhaps to deal with it... that it went south is with Hunico...seemingly as it was with Gotch and Sheamus.

So yeah, it does come down to who is featured... any reduction in Jericho's role right now hurts the product and the fans wouldn't accept it... they know that, Jericho knows that and Hunico probably does.

Do they fire him? Probably not, but they can easily send him down to NXT for a bit or onto SD to split them up... in reality though, Hunico has had a few chances now and has a rep as a bit of a bully/******** like Tommy Billington once had. Vince won't want a repeat of how that turned out so it's easier to release him...or at least give him the Titus 60 days...

With Jericho it's tougher to punish him... he does get "punished" he's in the position he can walk and do damage talking about it... on balance he still brings more to the table than most so I can see him getting fined and maybe a job on TV tonight as a punishment... with the provisio that he gets into any more backstage shit, for any reason he could be in more trouble.

The interesting thing is this tour will be different in set up, I have friends who are road crew and set up the Wembley Arena show for Smackdown... they noted it was smaller than the past and that may have extended to the arrangements for the talent... if they're used to A-grade transport/service etc and WWE is now only providing B-Grade for each group then that could lead to tetchiness and issues. If either guy can legit go to Vince and say... this tour was the shits compared to the others because of X, Y, Z and that's why we were frazzled/on edge... then they'd have a hard time punishing either guy.

No one should get a suspension because of this. If as JH posted is correct then maybe Cara deserved to get a punch thrown his way. When you are in an enclosed situation, and someone is being bloody annoying to the point where multiple people are telling them to stop and they don't, then I'm sorry but that person is just being a prick. In that case they deserve what they get.

These guys have one hell of a travel schedule, not to mention jet lag which could play a factor here. So something that might normally be ignored in a case like this won't be. It doesn't matter who threw the first punch, the issue is it didn't have to happen. If Cara had shut up when he realized he was pissing people off the whole thing wouldn't have happened. But he didn't and had someone in his face because of it. Whether it was Jericho or someone else, obviously it was an issue and it got taken care of one way or another.

Like I said, it really looks like they have "skimped" a bit on this tour, so guys are gonna be pissed if they feel the bus is not as nice as the past etc... or their hotels are a step down from the norm... That kind of thing is gonna lead to this -

Remember how the Plane Ride happened right when they Brand Split last time? So they were taking 2 rosters over - perhaps double the talents they had than before... inherently they're gonna cut costs... We're talking March for the Brand Extension and May for the Plane Ride... similar timings here and WWE will be scrimping without question with the number of talents over there at the moment.

I think that Sincara is the culprit here. If you're are on a bus with your colleagues and your illogical behavior is irritating a bunch of people, you need to improve your behaviour.
