Bret Hart is now aware there is an overtime, he will not lose. If he has Savage in the sharpshooter to end it? He just won't let go.

Randy Savage lost almost all of his matches he is most remembered for. Mania 3? Loser. Mania 5? Loser. Mania 7? Lost like a bitch. Again. He won at Mania 4 because Hogan helped him, and DiBiase kinda sucks at winning. He held the rights at Mania 8, but whatever. That's fine. When I think of Macho Man, I think of an entertaining loser.

Bret is an awesome winner who owned the likes of Steve Austin and Bill Goldberg.

Vote for Bret.

The Iron Man match is the technical specialists dream match, keep the pace slow, work the body. I think Hart takes it.

Just like the argument I made for Bruno, I have to go with Bret on this one due to his experience.

Most prowrestling fans can recall Bret going an hour with Shawn Michaels without taking a single loss. Randy Savage's longest match was a 28 minute loss to (of all people) The Ultimate Warrior.

Bret has the ability to beat Randy in a normal one-on-one match, and he's being given a match stipulation that favors him.

Vote Bret.

Yeah, this is all Bret. Randy can go when it counts, but he is not on the level of the Hitman. Truly would have been an epic match. Slap on the Sharpshooter and rack up some points.

This would be a fantastic match. Randy's motor never stops and Bret can pick someone apart all day. I see Bret breaking Randy down for 50 or so minutes and getting a roll up pin or something unexpected. Either way, this is Bret's match.

Stipulation heavily favors Bret since he practically invented it. He lost in it though, but he shouldnt lost in one against Savage.

Awesome match....the stipulation favours Bret, but I would have Bret go over Savage in a singles match anyway....would be an amazing match that these guys would put together...

Hart progresses...

This match has happened with both men somewhat in their prime when Bret was champion in Japan.

Bret won then, bret wins now

But like that match it will be epic.

Macho loses but without losing any credibilty

This is probably the end all be all match-up out of the tourney. This is an evenly matched contest, but I'm inclined to agree that this type of match favors Bret. I have no doubt that Macho will go the distance, but I see Bret inching out a close victory, 3-2 falls.

This would be a classic bout and would be a genuine contender for MOTY in the mind of any respectable wrestling fan or journalist.

These guys are really similar when it comes down to size, build, weight, strength, etc. but I give the slight edge in overall athleticism to Savage whereas Bret is clearly the stronger technician. Also, at various times, both of them played second fiddle to Hulk Hogan at one time or another; while Savage was WWF Champion, Hogan was still the man in the company and Hogan took out Yokozuna in a matter of seconds at WrestleMania IX after Yoko won the title from Bret.

At the end of the day, I have to go with Bret Hart for the win. An Iron Man match isn't a sprint and I think his more methodical pace will ultimately pay off for him here. Savage will give it all he's got and that will be considerable, but I see Bret either forcing him to tap via the Sharpshooter about 10 seconds before the time limit is up or Savage passes out from the pain.

Any doubt about this being a classic match? No way.

Randy Savage Vs. Ricky Steamboat is still one of my favorite matches. At Wrestlemania 3, it still managed to get recognition it deserved even the focus was on Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant.

I would have voted for Randy Savage but this gimmick favors Bret Hart.

Sadly voting Bret Hart.

I'm surprised at how one sided this is. Randy Savage was able to become the World Champion at a time when he had to compete with Hulk Hogan for the right to do so. Hart was a great wrestler and a great champion, but I'm not really sure he ever did anything to suggest he was better than Savage. I'm not really sure how Bret Hart, famous for losing an incredibly boring iron man match, is benefitted by the stipulation. Savage wins.

Why are people saying this would be an amazing fight when all evidence of Bret Hart in an Ironman Match leads to the contrary?

Voting for Savage because I might stay awake if he's involved. I have my doubts.
