Estimate buys for the TLC PPV

Ruthless-RKO

F*ck Friends, Rather die wiv ma AK!
WWE has listed an early estimate of 170,000 buys for December's TLC pay-per-view. The number would be down from the 179,000 the event drew in 2011, and the 195,000 drawn in 2010. Read more on the monthly business figures at SNL.com.

Powell's POV: The final number will be released in the quarterly financial report. The TLC pay-per-view was headlined by The Shield vs. Kane, Daniel Bryan, and Ryback in a six-man TLC match. It was originally slated to be C.M. Punk vs. Ryback before it was changed due to Punk undergoing knee surgery.

Punk fans will post this:
TLC 2011 (with Punk, no Cena): 179,000
TLC 2012 (with Cena, no Punk): 170,000

So... the big run of 2012 PPVs doing better numbers than the previous year lasted from Wrestlemania 28 through Hell in a Cell 2012.

Coincidentally, this is the exact length of Sheamus' World Heavyweight Championship reign.

Updated estimated pay-per-view numbers from WWE's 2012 fourth quarter:

* Hell In a Cell - 200,000
* Survivor Series - 212,000
* TLC - 170,000

Some will say 2011 did 9,000 extra buys because:
