More positive reviews about TNA's new direction

Quote:
New TNA direction popular move with fans

TNA Impact has not only seen a sharp rise in ratings since the Samoa Joe incident almost three weeks ago but has also been a “critical” success. Posters on the WrestleZone Forums boards have been making positive comments on TNA’s latest episodes of Impact.

TNA Impact was another very strong show this week building towards the “Destination X” pay per view coming up in a few weeks. The Wrestling Matters theme brought about by the outburst from Samoa Joe at a set of Impact tapings three weeks ago has made TNA must see tv. And the wrestling matters credo kicks the show off when instead of a promo opening a wrestling show be it Raw,Smackdown or Impact we are thrown straight into a match.

AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels def. Gunner and Murphy

Gunner and Murphy are two big, mean guys from NWA Anarchy that TNA signed a wjile back. They are grat talents and put on a stellar math with Styles and Daniels. Daneils and Styles hit the high / low on Murphy and then Styles takes Gunner to the outside allowing Daniels to hit the BME and score the pinfall.

• After the match Immortal’s World Champion Jeff Hardy and Abyss rushed the ring and attacked Styles and Daniels but before they could do too much damage, Samoa Joe raced out and cleared the ring.
• Joe told Hardy he had something to say, but Hardy said he did to and they both stood in the ring and cut a very entertaining promo.

Hardy “Joe, you’re one tough bastard. I get it. But let’s face it fat boy, you ain’t no star. I’m the god damn champion of the world for a reason. Take a look, I’m a superstar, no scratch that, I’m a rockstar in this industry. Joe at Destination X you’re gonna find out big boy just who your dealin’ with. You ain’t got –beep- on me, and I’m going to kick your ass and look good doing it… bitch.”

Joe “Hardy, you’d be funny if you weren’t so pathetic. You really think you’re a tough guy? Huh? I’m sick and tired of the politics in TNA, and Styles, Daniels and I have had enough of the bull -beep-. Ya see Hardy the Unbreakable 3 put this damn company on the map years ago and ho did the brass repay us. They held us down and kept signing useless no good punks like you to big contracts and giving you title matches on silver platters. Where’s Christopher Daniels’ title shot? Where’s Alex Shelley’s title shot? Where’s Chris Sabin title shot?

Who knows, but if you come from elsewhere, you get one. That’s why I had to cut Anderson off at the knees so management realised I’m not playin’. The Unbreakable 3 are not playin’. And come Destination X when you step into the ring with me, you are going to find out why these fans who have been here and sat through the crap Russo, Hogan and Bischoff have given them are going to chant “Joe’s gonna kill you” because that’s exactly what’s going to happen Hardy. I’m going to run you over like a train, become the Champion this company deserves and beat the living hell out of you. Come Destination X we’ll find out who is the bitch…”

Austin Aries def. The Amazing Red

Aries re-debuts with the company and takes on Red in one of the fastest X Division matches seen on Impact in years. Both men were like cowboys shooting it out with move after move until finally Aries catches Red with a brain buster and then a 450 splash for the victory in just over 9 minutes.

• After the match however the X Division Champion of the World Frankie Kazarian walks out with a microphone and the title slung over his shoulder. He talks about all the new X Division wrestlers getting signed lately and he doesn’t care if their name is Low Ki or Austin Aries, he is the very best X wrestler in the world, and will show all of them what it means to be Champion.

Hamada def. Angelina Love in a #1 contender’s match for the KO Championship

Angelina had her partner Velvet Sky at ringside for moral support but Hamada showed she had too much power and dropped Love with a roaring elbow and then a stiff kick to the temple for the pinfall.

Backstage segment was great between the players and set up the main event well. Hulk Hogan walked up to Kurt Angle and told him his hand shake with Joe last week was disrespectful. And if he agrees with Joe then he’ll share his fate. Tonight he’ll be tagging with Joe against the Monster Abyss and the World Champion Jeff Hardy! Angle tells Hogan to bring it on…

Motor City Machine Guns def. Generation Me

In an exciting tag match the Guns once again get a win on Impact. Their chemistry with Generation Me is amazing as both teams put on a fantastic match. Guns get the win with their Skull and Bones crossbody / neckbreaker combo finisher.

• After the match Beer Money’s Robert Roode and James Storm come out and interrupt their celebration. The World TAG Champs tell the Guns that wrestling matters and that at Destination X they wont to defend their titles against them. The two teams shake hands to the fans cheers, and the Guns even raise the Champs hands in the air for such a gesture. Looks like the Unbreakable 3 are rubbing off everyone in the company.

Rob Van Dam def. Matt Morgan

RVD hits the 5 star frog splash for the win in a great match. Morgan dominated Rob with his power but the Whole Dam Show gets the win getting back into the winners circle.

• When Morgan realised he had been beaten and looked up to see Van Dam celebrating and his music playing he was livid. He started kicking steel steps and throwing chairs around. The referee tried to calm him down to stop him from possibly throwing a chair into the crowd, and was shockingly struck down with the Carbon Footprint! Morgan’s tantrum continued up the ramp, as the smug RVD shrugged his shoulders in the ring.
• However Rob is almost decapitated by a huge lariat to the back of the head. Rob is face planted into the mat as the sharply dressed Desmond Wolfe fixed his jacket and boot his boot heel on the temple of Van Dam and gives the fans the forks!

Main Event
Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle def. World Champion Jeff Hardy and Abyss

Once again Joe pins the World Champion with the Muscle buster. Angle had Abyss in the ankle lock keeping him out of play allowing Joe to hit vicious kicks to the ribs of Hrady and then drop him with his finisher. Joe grabbed the “Immortal Jeff Hardy Face” title and spat on it and through it on the prone body of the Champion as Angle held up Joe’s hand in victory to end another solid Impact.

Unbreakable 3 members Styles, Daniels and Joe have spoken out about TNA’s former sports entertainment mantra, and are sen as strong locker room leaders and are leading the way in putting “pro-wrestling” back on the map in a main stream company.

Dixie Carter states that this has been all talent driven and that it will be up to the great TNA talent to make it work.

Hardy, Immortal’s number one talent was attacked by Joe and Ken Anderson who quit the company, during an Impact taping three weeks ago.

Joe has been told by lawyer not to talk in public about the incident however has been allowed to promote the Wrestling Matters slogan and the joined with AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels has spruiked the changes and the upcoming pay per view.

Also on the ppv the traditional Ultimate X will feature where X Division Champion Frankie Kazarian will defend against an unknown opponent or opponents at press time.

Tonight’s TNA Impact was once again all about wrestling as they moved closer to the Destination X pay per view and set up some must see matches. To kick things off Immortal made up of Hogan, Bischoff and Flair come to the ring talking about the Unbreakable 3 and all the support they are building in the back. They say that Joe can not beat their hand picked Champion, and they introduce Jeff Hardy. The World Champion slowly comes out to a chorus of boos from the fans. He tells them all that Joe can’t beat him and that he will show him at Destination X what a “real” superstar looks like.

The Unbreakable 3 walk out and interrupt proceedings. They unlike Immortal last week actually step into the ring and get in the heel faction’s faces. Styles tells them this is their house not theirs and that they will rid the company of Immortal. Daniels says that they are parasites coming in after they made the brand and then pillaged it for everything it was worth to be a vanity project for them. Joe tells Hardy that he is going to run over him and become the World Champion.

Hardy gets in Joe’s face and holds up the Hardy face title belt and then drops it gently onto his shoulder with a smirk. Joe spits on the title and tells Hardy when he wins he’ll bring back the old title just like he’ll bring back honour and respect to the championship. The Unbreakable 3 leave but Hogan tells them they’ll regret what they just did and that tonight they’ll be in action. Tonight Joe you will be in the latest signing for TNA Wrestling and the newest member of Immortal. He also leaves clues as to say that the man is as powerful as Hogan and as technically sound as Flair, and is a former World Champion! Is it Angle? Maybe it’s Bobby Lashley! With all the recent signings and rumours this reviewer can’t wait to see who it is.

Shawn Hernandez def. The Pope D’Angelo Dinero

Hernandez walked to the ring and said that he wants to be known as Shawn Hernandez and that tonight “nada is impossible”. In an amazing match the high flying big man put The Pope down with a Border Toss into the turnbuckles and then dragged him to the middle of the ring for the pinfall. Dinero was impressive and big Dez kicked out of an inverted DDExpress (Codebreaker) move at one stage. Both guys once again brought it and the “new” name for Hernandez seems to indicate a good solid push for the powerhouse.

The X Division Champion Frankie Kazarian walked out and announced that at Destination X the traditional Ultimate X match will take place and this is where he will prove he is the greatest X wrestler in the world and of all time when he takes on the best in the world. It will be a four way match and the other three will be determined in qualifying matches starting tonight and ending next week to find the other three competitors to face him. After the commercial break Kazarian has gone to the commentary position as the next match is the first of the qualifiers.

The Canadian Destroyer Petey Williams def. Amazing Red and Brian Kendrick

Williams returned to TNA to defeat Red and Kendrick in another X Div spectacle. All three men brought it as the crowd popped for the Canadian Destroyer putting down Kendrick for the victory. Williams pointed at the Champion after the match gave the sign of the title, as Kazarian shook his head to disagree with him.

Backstage The Pope challenges Shawn Hernandez to a rematch next week on Impact.

Bischoff is seen backstage and congratulates the Motor City Machine Guns on getting an opportunity to wrestle for the World, Tag belts at Destination X. But he then says he wants them to prove that they weren’t just given the shot because they were friends with Beer Money, and tells them tonight they will go against Styles and Daniels and implies that if they lose they might get their title shots taken from them.

Hamada def. ODB

The number 1 contender for the Knockout’s Championship defeated ODB in a one of the hardest hitting KO matches seen on Impact. Hamada’s buzzsaw type kicks brought down the solid ODB and then finished her with a moonsault to once again show she is worthy of her title shot at Destination X. The Knockout’s are also bringing it this new wrestling era of TNA, and it should be a great match between Tara and Hamada who are not fitness models but athletes.

Next out to the ring is the dapper suit wearing Desmond Wolfe and his gorgeous valet Chelsea. Wolfe flipped off the crowd before telling everyone he was back and that if wrestling matters, he will reign supreme. But he is interrupted by the man who he attacked a week ago, RVD.

Rob confronted Wolfe and said that what he did last week was his MO. When Wolfe first arrived he went after the top guy in the company, Kurt Angle, and now on his return from injury he does it again, but the best in the company is Rob. Van. Dam. Rob tells Wolfe he’s going to get his chance because at Destination X it will be Wolfe vs. RVD. There is a stare down as Impact goes to commercial in a solid set up for a ppv match. Great to see Wolfe again and his mic work was fantastic and Rob’s ego driven promo skills have always been great compared to being a generic baby face guy. Good work by both men here.

Knockout Champion Tara cut a promo on facing Hamada at the Destination X pay per view in the backstage area.

Low Ki def. Kid Kash and Elix Skipper

In the second of the X Division Ultimate X Qualifiers Low Ki drove his boot heels into the chest of his former Triple X tag partner Skipper to become the next to advance. Low Ki hit a warriors Way double stomp after Kash hit the double underhook piledriver, but was then bicycle kicked to the floor allowing Ki to hit his devatstating finisher. Another great match from the X Division tonight and wrestling matters on Spike TV!

The Unbreakable 3 give a great promo backstage all about TNA and their passion for the company and saving it from Immortal.

The Motor City Machine Guns def. AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. via DQ

In an absolutely amazing match from these two teams, that hit the 15 minute mark before Beer Money came out and attacked the Guns to give them the disqualification victory. Styles and Daniels are visibly upset with the World Tag Team Champions as there is a lot of confusion over the match finish, but it didn’t seem as though Beer Money turned heel on the Guns however as the Guns confronted them half way up the ramp and although the cameras didn’t pick up the conversation the Guns seemed happy with the result and the four men walked away as Styles and Daniels looked on still confused... very interesting.

Matt Morgan def. Jeff Jarrett

The TNA Founder walked out and told Morgan that what he did last week (attacking a referee) was unacceptable and for him to come out and try him on for size. Morgan unleashed his beast in this match and in a glorified squash match, pinned Jarrett in the middle of the ring after the Hellavator! Jarrett did the job for this up and comer and looked good doing it. Morgan is a monster in his seemingly new role as the giant guy he should have been since day one in TNA.

Immortal come to the ring and introduce the man who is as powerful as Hogan as ring savvy as Flair. The former World Champion, Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner!

Main event
Samoa Joe def. Scott Steiner

Steiner tapped to the Coquina Clutch (rear naked choke) after a brutal match which saw Joe lay waste to Steiner. The veteran was firing though and hit great suplexes and even the Frankensteiner, but Joe hit face washes and stiff body shot kicks that crumpled the powerhouse and led to the choke out. Hogan, Flair and Bischoff at ringside couldn’t believe it as Joe celebrates another victory, but Hardy hits the ring and drives the belt into the face of Joe while the crazy Ric Flair distracted him.

Hardy hits the Swanton Bomb and then slithers away as Styles and Daniels run out to protect their stable mate. Immortal walk up the ramp with a smile on their faces as another great Impact comes to a close.

This week’s episode is the last leading into the Destination X ppv. Over the last month TNA has really stuck to its new wrestling matters vision and it will be interesting how they continue with this episode as most last shows really push the ppv matches and not much wrestling happens. Let’s see. At the top of the show Tenay and Taz announce tonight’s main event, The Unbreakable 3 vs. Immortal’s Scott Steiner Abyss and a mystery opponent.

Well here I thought we would start with an Immortal promo but out first is the X Division Champion Kazarian. He walks out and says that Destination X is his ppv as he is the X Division Champion. He will show the world that he is the very best when he puts his belt twenty feet in the air, defeats three of the world’s best and then brings it back down again. He really sells the danger and the high risk involved in the Ult. X match. Strong promo from the Champ. He then demands that he finds out who the last guy in the Ultimate X match will be. He pulls up a chair and sits with his belt over his shoulder as the last qualifier for the Ultimate X match gets underway.

Austin Aries def. Masato Yoshino and Homicide

Before the high risk went into overdrive. Before the match started ‘Cide came out and bad mouthed both guys, Aries sat up on the ropes in the corner like a hammock while Yoshino acted as if he didn’t know what the Notorious 187 was saying before blasting him with a sick dropkick.

Aries and Yoshino worked on Cide with double team moves. Before turning on each other giving Homicide a chance get back in the match with his Gringo Cuttah on Aries. Yoshino was too fast for both men and started to dominate with some big time dives and explosive clotheslines.

Aries hit a springboard moonsault for a two count on Yoshino then nailed a dropkick in the corner. Cide hit an elbow drop, but was taken out by a superkick from Yoshino and then took him up top for a superplex but was caught with a Russian leg sweep off the ropes! They had an incredible dive sequence culminating into a 450 springboard splash by Aries and a twisting dive off the ropes by Yoshino!

Cide hits his tope conhelo on the two guys on the floor to match them and then threw Aries into the ring for the Gringo Killah but Yoshino hit another superkick, Aries rolled him up for a 2 count only for Yoshino to make the save and then these two went at it with roaring elbows, until Aries hit the brainbuster and hit another 450 splash for the pin.

An exhausted and dazed Aries gets his hand raised as Kazarian stood an applauded sarcastically and then lifted the title in the air before walking off.

The show continued with the Dinero / Hernandez rematch from last week. Shawn Herandez defeated the Pope last week in a great match and it looks like TNA want to keep such a great chemistry going, and in doing so push both men.

The Pope D’Angelo Dinero def. Shawn Hernandez

They did some nice back and forth wrestling early on. Pope on the apron, speared Big Dez through the ropes. He snapmared Dez in the corner and nailed a series of elbows and punching combos ending with the Pimp Slap for the crowd pop. Dez charged him out of frustration but Pope faked him out and he crashed to the floor. Dinero seems to have his opponent scouted this time and it seems his game plan is working throughout the match. Pope hit a baseball slide knocking Dez into the guard rail and played with the crowd before the battle moved to the apron where Dez nailed him with a Uranage on the mat showing his power.

Dez then started using his power throwing Pope around the ring like a rag doll before looking for his Border Toss finisher, but the Pope scurried out of the move, hit a superkick and then nails his huge leaping shoulder tackle. The corwd is big time behind the Pope in this match but Dez will not be outdone in the flying shoulder tackle department either and hits a springboard one of his own. Pope and Dez figth it out until Pope hits a coronation a pimpslap on the outside and then goes home with the DDExpress for the victory! Great stuff!

Both men looked good and Dinero got his win back from last week. Pope celebrated with his “congregation” at ringside before Hernandez grabbed a mic and said it wasn’t over and that he wants the Pope at Destination X in the rubber match. Pope asks the fans, and they agreed with him. Looks like another match for Destination .

The next segment in the ring is the Knockout’s Champion Tara confronting her challenger for this Sunday, Hamada. Tara talks about women’s wrestling and how in other companies it is bikini models fighting it out for a worthless championship. But how in TNA wrestling matters and that this Sunday although she doesn’t like Hamada they are going to steal the show and put on the hardest hitting title match the KO Div has ever seen. Hamada agrees and tells Tara “here’s a preview” and hits a huge forearm shot to the Champ!

Tara’s knees go weak and Hamada follows it up with a buzzsaw type kick to the head knocking out the Champ!!! The crowd are shocked as she raises the title in the air declaring herself the future champion.

Kurt Angle def. Gunner w/ Murphy

Angle has been a thorn in Immortal’s side as of late siding with the Unbreakable 3. Gunner is new to TNA and has only wrestled in tag matches. This will be interesting to see if this guy is any good, especially since TNA have decided to put him in his first match against Angle. Maybe they think he’s worth something, or this will be just a squash?

Gunner takes Angle down with big time shoulder tackles and seems to be a power wrestler. He drills Angle with heavy shots and then looks for a suplex, but Angle regains his composure counters the suplex. Angle now gets Gunner to the mat and starts working on him. Gunner is brought to his feet and Angle hits some euro uppercuts and then a clothesline before launching into a sequence of germans.

The bigger Murphy hops up on the apron but is punched in the face sending him crashing into the guard rail. The fans go nuts as Angle roars but the distraction leads to a spear and a 2 count. Gunner almost pinned Angle, good stuff there. Gunner dominates the match which is great but Angle finally hits his Olympic Slam and then locks in the Ankle Lock for the submission victory.

Angle new this was personal and he seemed to take some pleasure in beating Gunner. He then drops down to the floor and walks over to the 6 foot 8 Murphy and waits for him to get up. Murphy is pissed but is intimidated Kurt. He looks as if he doesn’t know what to do, but eventually swings at Kurt but ends up missing and getting caught in an Olympic Slam on the floor! Angle’s music hits again as the fans go crazy, but out walks Bischoff who yells out to cut the music. He says that at Destination X, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels will face the tag team of Steiner and Abyss, while tonight they and Joe will face them and a mystery partner. He tells Angle to pay close attention to tonight’s main event because tonight’s mystery partner for Immortal will also be Angle’s opponent at Destination X!

Angle grabs a mic and tells Bischoff that he just makes sure that whoever he's got to be ready for Kurt Angle...

After the commercial break, RVD walks out and says that at Destination X he will shut Desmond Wolfe’s big mouth and he’ll have fun doing it. He once again makes reference to Wolfe attacking the top guy in the company and that guy is R.V.D. and he’ll enjoy teaching Wolfe that he bit off way more than he could chew.

But out walks one of the qualifiers in the Ultimate X match, the Canadian Destroyer Petey Williams. He calls Rob a typical American and how he thinks he can beat anyone, when in fact Wolfe coming from the U.K. is better than him, and he being from Canada is definitely better than him. He says if Rob isn’t too afraid then maybe they should have a match right now. Rob agrees and it’s on.

Rob Van Dam def. Petey Williams via DQ

Williams impresses in this match. He really takes it to RVD, and shows that although he’s a smaller guy, he has all of the X Div type moves to keep up with someone like the Whole Dam Show. Rob fires back of course and hits his rolling thunder moves and his split legged moonsaults but Petey shows just how good he is and hits his runna on the outside and brawls all over the ringside area before looking for a sharpshooter.

Rob fights out before hitting a vandaminator (sans chair), but before he can hit the 5Star, he is pushed off the top rope by Desmond Wolfe to end the match. Wolfe launches into a series of kicks and then hits Rob with a DDT on the floor! The crowd boos him as he fixes his jacket and walks off after a great match. Shame there wasn’t a real result but there was great action. Wolfe looks as deadly as ever, thanks to snapping off that DDT and Rob as always sells like a champ.

There is apre-recorded inetrview between the Tag Champions Beer Money and The Motor City Machine Guns about the title match at Destination X. Both teams put the other over and at the end they shook hands but both teams said that they would be the ones with the ttiles this Sunday causing some tension.

The main event is now upon us and the Unbreakable three come out to the biggest pop of the night. They cut promos on who they’ll win and bring Immortal to its knees and bring back TNA to where it should be. Immortal’s Hogan, Flair, Bischoff and World Champion Hardy walk out and tell the U3 they wont survive past Destination X and that the title isn’t going anywhere. Out walks Steiner and Abyss and their mystery tag partner and Angle’s opponent at the ppv… Matt Morgan.

Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels def. Scott Steiner, Abyss and Matt Morgan

The Unbreakable 3 push is enormous. Joe, Styles and Daniels are like this unstoppable force, and it looks like TNA are putting all their weight behind these guys. Joe and Styles are former World Champions and Daniels well he is as good as them so it makes sense, but man their offence in this match for the first 5 or so minutes was just dominating and yet entertaining.

Daniels and Styles are double team geniuses as one goes high the other low and puts the big men down every time. It starts to look embarrassing for Immortal as the evil top dogs on the stage there can’t believe what they are witnessing. As if they didn’t know how good these three “nobodies” really were. Then Styles tags in Joe and like a bulldozer who runs over the top of Steiner, drives huge knee strikes into the top of his head and making Steiner roll out of the ring and run fro cover. Joe smiles as he paces the ring like a hungry wolf as no one seems to know what to do to overcome the U3 who leap onto the turnbuckles and get the fans behind them in a huge ovation.

Morgan who squashed the TNA founder last week is in and catches Styles’ cross body and turns it into a fall away slam. Hogan on commentary mentions that this is his company and that he brought Morgan into Immortal because what he ddi to Jarrett last week and how the Unbreakable 3 is probably all of Jarrett’s idea, being the Founder and trying to take his company back from Immortal.

But Morgan is caught with a Pele from out of nowhere and once again the quick tags of the U3 dominate. Daniels just outwrestles Abyss and Morgan but is caught by a belly to belly from Steiner to give the heel team a bit of a boost in the late goings of the match but a hot tag to Joe sees him plough through the others in the ring, some high spots from Daniels and Styles taking Abyss and Morgan out on the floor so they can’t stop what’s happening in the ring. Joe puts Steiner on his shoulder points to Hardy and drops the veteran on his head with the Muscle Buster.1.2.3

Immortal can’t believe what they just witnessed as Joe gives the sign of the title and Styles and Daniels hold his arms up in victory to send a message for the World title match this Sunday.

Another strong wrestling show with five matches in total but still set up all the matches for Destination X this Sunday. The TNA talent have really brought this month and Destination X looks to be a must see ppv.

Avitus25’s Grandsword’s TNA Impact Review

--- TURNS OUT THIS IS FOR THE IMPACT BEFORE THE LAST ONE (I REVIEWED THE WRONG ONE BY ACCIDENT)

--- To start I’ll just say I’ve had a read through all of this thread because it seemed like a really good concept, and I love the idea of the Unbreakable 3. I’m interested to see who the first real, successful obstacles in their path will be, but for now I think you’re handling this story really really well.

--- Anyway, IMPACT, Joe v Hardy at the PPV should be a really good match. I love the angle that Styles, Daniels and Joe are approaching this from, as the TNA Originals, and I’m hoping that they’ll add more originals to their ranks as things go on. I’m interested to see who Joe’s opponent is… I’m going to guess it’s not Lashley or Angle after you dropped those names though…

--- I like the revitalisation of Hernandez. I think he’s really talented and I hope to see him pushed to some degree, even though an LAX reunion would be fantastic too.

--- One thing I would perhaps say is that I wouldn’t give the result of the match away at the very start, I’d write the competitors first, and give the reader time to see what they think will happen, rather than telling them what the match is at the same time as the result. Glad to see Williams back in TNA. His return made sense with the originals angle you’ve got going on. He could be a big player in the Ultimate X match as well.

--- Pope v Hernandez again next week? I can see Hernandez coming out with the win again. Maybe build up some frustration for Pope?

--- Styles & Daniels v MCMG? I would pay a good deal to see that match! Definitely interested to see where you go with this one.

--- I really like Hamada as well, so I’m really glad you’re giving her the push. I hope it’s continued and I’d love to see her as Knockout’s Champion at some point.

--- Rob Van Dam v Desmond Wolfe has the potential to be a really good match. I expect Wolfe to go over at the PPV, I think he fits really well as a potential opponent for the Unbreakable 3 at some point in the future.

--- Low Ki also qualifying for the Ultimate X Match? This is shaping up to be amazing! Hope to see Low Ki stay around in TNA!

--- Beer Money helping the MCMG get a cheap win? If MCMG turned heel against Styles & Daniels that could be an epic feud. This one has me intrigued.

--- Matt Morgan squashing Jarrett? I’m expecting big things for Morgan by the looks of things… A Morgan/Joe feud over the title could be really good.

--- Scott Steiner? As technically gifted as Flair? Mhmm… I’m not quite sure about that… still an interesting choice. I’m pleased to see Hardy and Immortal get some measure of offence in on Joe without being immediately shut out. I was beginning to think it was a bit one sided but this has evened things out a bit. I’m not so sure about whose going over at the PPV anymore…

--- While normally I’d be saying that I’d prefer a full written show rather than a summary show, I think you do the summary idea very well. It’s easy to read and keeps you interested without being too heavy. If you ever decide to make it more substantial and fully write it out then I think it could be one of the best BT’s going, but it’s working well like this right now anyway.

--- Overall a really good show! I like the storylines you’ve got going, especially the Unbreakable 3 v Immortal and MCMG/Beer Money storylines you’ve got going on. Really solid show, keep it up, and I’ll be sure to keep on reading and reviewing!

EDIT: Just noticed I didn't review the latest show, I'll review that one now too! My mistake!

Avitus25’s Grandsword’s TNA Impact Review

--- Hopefully I’ve got the right show this time…

--- Pleasantly surprised to see the X Division Champion starting things off tonight. I wonder what he has to say. Final qualifying match coming up, I’m expecting Kazarian to be booked strong at the PPV, but I don’t know whose going to go over. Aries in the match too is a good move, but I’d love to see Homicide have a more focal role on the show, hopefully that’ll come in the future. Definitely looking forward to seeing who walks out of the PPV with the X Division gold. SIDE NOTE: I’m really digging the new way you’re writing your matches. Nice mix of detail and ease.

--- Pope v Hernandez. I’m surprised to see Pope go over, but I’m not necessarily disappointed. Definitely interested to see who goes over at the PPV. Maybe a dirty finish of some sort? Really good match here.

--- Loving Hamada’s character. I’m not necessarily expecting her to come out with the title, but I love the way you’re pushing her as no-nonsense. Almost like a female, slightly less crazy, Samoa Joe.

--- I’d have been surprised if Gunner had gone over Angle, and I’m pleased to see that he didn’t, but he did get a good amount of offence in. I’m interested to see if you push him to the extent TNA has recently. I’m hoping Angle’s opponent is Bobby Lashley. You teased it last week, and I think those two could have some great matches. I don’t necessarily understand why the Styles/Daniels v Steiner/Abyss match was announced at this point. Just seemed a bit of a random place to have it revealed.

--- Petey Williams interrupting RVD was a nice surprise. I was wondering what you were going to do about the result… I couldn’t see either of these men going into the PPV with a clean loss. Wolfe’s interference made sense, and made me more interested in their match at the PPV. I think I’m expecting RVD to go over after this though.

--- I can see something big going down in the Beer Money v MCMG match. It’s all looking a bit too cosy between them all at the minute. This is possibly the most intriguing storyline you have going on.

--- This means Angle v Morgan again at the PPV? Been there, done that, seen the matches before. I hope you bring something new to it otherwise this could be a bit of a let down. Hoping Morgan goes over at the PPV though. I’m glad Joe got the win in this match (which was very good by the way) because he would have looked silly going into a World Title match with a loss hanging over him.

--- The show was great again, I’m really looking forward to seeing how you book the PPV now. I like the new match lengths, but I still think you should leave the results of the matches til after the description of the match, it kinda spoils it a bit being given the result before reading the actual match. Apart from that it’s really good, keep it up. I’ll be sure to drop the PPV a review.

--- If you get chance to drop me a review back it'll be really appreciated

Thanks AV for your reviews and support!!! Giving the result away at the start has been apart of my ploy to make the show like an internet review. You are dead on there that it would be better with a result at the end, and after Destination X, that's what I'll eb doing. The shows will be stronger and have a more show like formatting. If I can figure out the damn spolier tags I'll add them as my result for my matches.

Thanks so much for giving me two reviews, and I'm over the moon that you like my shows so far. I feel that I want to deliver a show that is easy on the reader but still give a good level of detail but not too much. This works two ways I spose, it allows the reader to get through it in one go, and it keeps me the writer interested and not burnt out.

As you can see, the matches have a greater amount of detail to them as I expand them out to bring you guys into my little world. I'm having fun writing them and hopefully I don't write myself into a corner at some stage haha..

New updates before Destination X ppv

Quote:
New era for TNA starts this Sunday?

Destination X ppv has been drawing a lot of hype over the last few weeks. TNA’s new direction seems to be driven towards this one ppv and its outcomes and even more at next month’s supercard Lockdown.

Ever since the outburst by Samoa Joe at a TNA taping 5 weeks ago, the TNA television shows have gone live and have been very wrestling orientated, with very little “promo” segments. This has seen a rise in ratings as many fans of wrestling who wish to see a strong in ring product have flocked to TNA’s Impact on Spike TV.

The controversy created by Samoa Joe and his original TNA comrades AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels has sparked an interest and the show has continued to grow in ratings numbers ever since. Destination X is pegged as a culmination of what TNA management has worked towards since capitalising on the disgruntled employee’s attack on the company. A lot of changes has been occurring behind the scenes with the resigning of Ken Anderson and the release of head writer Vince Russo.

Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have been at the forefront during this time, with many dirt sheet writers saying Joe's shoot outburst and physical attack all Bischoff's idea. But insiders have stated that Joe's shoot was real and Bischoff just used it as "Ground Zero" to move the company in a new direction using the controversy it created.

President Dixie Carter has been quiet during these changes but has been hard at work to put together a strategy that will benefit the company and ensure its longevity long term. With new signings occurring daily the TNA company has had a huge shake up and the pay per view this Sunday could very well be the starting point of a new era.
