The WWE has had their eyes on AMW for a good long while now, and both members of AMW turned down contracts a few years back, along with Abyss I believe.
Honestly, I'm not surprised by this if it happens. People need to understand this about the WWE, they are terrible for developing and finding "homegrown" talent. The WWE is great at taking wrestlers that are somewhat over in another promotion, and completely repackaging them. WCW and ECW knew how to find young talent, much like how TNA does today, but no one knows how to push young talent like the WWE. This is going to happen more often as well, if this is true. If Harris signs, storm will follow suit, and you can bet guys like Senshi and Killings will as well. This is what the business needs. The WWE's established names going to TNA and the young talent going to the WWE. It's a cycle that the business hasn't had in ten years.

I personally think with the right Mic training he could have a good run in WWE. But personally i still reckon James Storm is the better out of the 2 all round

I would hate to see Harris go to the WWE and get a mid carder push for a few months, only to see him get pushed aside for someone new..or someone old...ie: HHH. I know TNA has not really been using him lately, but with all the talent WWE has already and doesn't know what to do with them....what are Harris' chances? Whatever happens, I wish the best for the Wildcat.

Honestly im not all that excited. He isnt bad in ring or on the mic, but if i had to go with him or Storm, Storm would get my pick in a heartbeat.
And if its true i agree about more TNA guys jumping ship. Senshi and Killings have said to already be in ongoing talks with WWE, Killings a little more so. Not a huge loss for TNA, but eh, loosing a decent midcard face. Could be worse. |

I think this is a wise move on WWE's part, I mean lets be hounest, there midcard isnt exactly what it was 10 years ago. I seriously hope they dont send him down to OVW or FCW, they should throw him right in the mix straight away and see what he can do.
Say what you want, but TNA messed him around so badly, he got a decent push after AMW split, but then they just gave him a stupid bitchy gimmick, who ever thought of doin that was pretty stupid. All in all I hope this is true and not bull$hit. Last edited by TheSaint : 01-10-2008 at 10:59 AM. |

This came out of nowhere, if is indeed true. There had been no reports of Harris being unhappy with the company or wanting to leave. On the whole though, I think it's a bad thing for TNA but not to the extent that some may claim.
He was a solid midcarder in TNA and could fill some card space with some pretty entertaining matches. However, after AMW's glory days and the fued with Storm, there was little left for him to do, and he had next to no chance of making it to the main event scene, despite Jarrett's apparent love for him. WWE would be the best move for him, if he were to go anywhere. He's a large guy, but not a SHW. I'd love to see the WWE get more guys like him in. In addition to that, the WWE could give him a noticeable singles push and, in time, he could really go places. |

As a WWE news story I think meh. If Monty Brown didn't make an impact then I doubt Chris Harris will. He was the least charismatic and well rounded member of AMW. It's more of a loss for TNA. As a TNA talent he had unlimited potential. But in WWE he'll be repackaged and wrestle a different styles. So it will pretty much be Chris Harris starting from scratch.

Looking at both sides:
For WWE: this turns out good if they give Harris a proper push and he rises as a star or at least a valuable mid-carder; this hurts WWE if they bury Harris and no longer are a viable option for guys from TNA making it a one-way street from WWE to TNA For TNA: this loss is not major UNLESS, Harris becomes a sucess and they not only lost a potential star but other low-card/mid-card TNA originals decide it is time to jump ship to WWE and they can achieve higher status there. |

Well it looks like not just Harris is coming to the wwe Ron Killings is coming too. Not to bad for wwe Storm will not be coming he just resighned with TNA to bad would have loved to see AMW in the wwe with the lack of tag teams in the wwe. I just hope they dont give Killings the K-quick gimmick again.
