Default Top ten most TALENTED wrestlers in WWE

Who do you think has the most talent in the WWE right now?

In no particular order...

HBK - One of the best wrestlers of all time, amazing what he could do in his prime, and even now, after taking four years off due to his back.

Triple H - The best all around guy in WWE of the last 5 years. In terms of talent, a bigger guy who can still pace himself in a match and do some great things.

CM Punk - Great moveset and still in the early stages of his career. Nowhere to go but up in terms of ring capabilities.

William Regal - Possibly one of the most talented wrestlers of all time in his prime, and certainly one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time.

Elijah Burke - See CM Punk. Very athletic.

Edge - Arguably #1 on this list.

Kennedy - Could be top of the list after his inevitable high profile feuds with Triple H and eventually Edge.

MVP -
Has improved tremendously over the past six months, and is also on his way up this list. Another athletic guy.

Umaga - yeah I just put him on his list. Just because you might dislike his gimmick you can't deny his talent or what he can do in the ring.

Finlay - An odd choice, I know, but he wrestles a slower, more old school style. it's just different, but he's still very talented and fairly athletic. That is proven by his age.

What's your list?

(Note: This thread will be moved to the spam zone if people put any lists in.)

**This list is compiled of people that are currently wrestling in the WWE. (i.e ones that aren't injured.)

1. Edge. No doubt in my mind that he is the most talented wrestler in the WWE right now. It's safe to say that we can class him as a veteran, because he's got experience and a hell of a lot of it. His matches are always entertaining because the crowd is always vocal for him. I think if you watch some of the stuff back in the 2000's, you'll see that he does have a huge moveset, but works awesomely as a face. Don't let this coward crap blind you from seeing just how good a wrestler this guy is.

2. CM Punk. Watch his indy stuff. That's all I can say. This guy is unbelievable, and it's no doubt in my mind that he deserves a high spot on this list. He's fast paced and has a style that every fan will love.

3. King Booker. Don't doubt this guy's ability for one second. He's got all the talent in the world (especially when compared with other guys around him) and I loved him when he was a face because he could put on a lot of great, 15 minute matches, and is always one to entertain. I just wish he'd drop the King gimmick though, because that seems to have hindered his abilities a little, but he still gets #3 in my eyes, because he's experienced.

4. William Regal. No one should take this guy lightly or underestimate him, because he is a great technical worker, even on a bad day. Yes, his body is wearing out on him, but his talent in comparison with his age and injury-prone body, is very good. Again, look at some of the stuff he's done many years ago (in WCW especially, as David Regal.)

5. Randy Orton. This guy is brilliant in the ring, and while he can be sloppy at times, his great matches outweigh his crap ones. He is a great heel as well, so that adds to his all-round talent.

6. MVP. He has improved DRAMATICALLY since he came in, in my eyes. I didn't hold much hope for him, but he proved me wrong and is the standout in the midcard division. He has a growing moveset, and seems to put on entertaining matches every week. Hell, he even took it up to guys like Benoit.

7. Elijah Burke. A great young talent that is really making waves with the IWC. He has a great style of wrestling and is only going to get better.

8. Johnny Nitro. Say what you will, but this guy is young, and is improving. We just haven't seen enough of him yet, but he had a great tag team run and was decent in the ring. He just needs to develop his moveset, but there's no denying that he has had a few entertaining matches.

9. Umaga. Yes, like Prax, I am forced to put this guy in. But I think his abilities can be underrated at times, as he has put on more than a few entertaining matches that we don't give him credit for, and is great for his size when you think about it.

10. Carlito. I'm not sold on this guy at all, but in amongst his snore-fests of matches that he puts on, there are a few ones that stand out as being somewhat decent. He can work the mic, so that does add to his talent. And when you compare him with other mid card 'talent', he's clearly the better. He has got a decent moveset, but he damn sure needs to improve and bring back the entertainment he used to have.

Tag Teams

(I'll rank all the tag teams in order of ability.)

1. The World's Greatest Tag Team. Haas and Benjamin (in particular, the latter) can't be forgotten. They are a great technical team and deserve this number one spot, because I think their abilities eclipse any other tag team in the WWE right now. There's especially no denying Benjamin's amazing talent, and we need more of this team.

2. London and Kendrick. I don't really see much of the fuss in this team. Yes, they are fast paced, but they aren't as fast as they used to be. Being able to perform quickly doesn't count for much, but they do back it up by having a very entertaining style, so they are second because of that. They have molded well as a tag team as well, so that's another point for them. I will give them the fact that they are the best cruiserweights in the WWE right now as well, so the tag team makes sense.

3. Cade & Murdoch. These are old-school guys that I just can't help but like. They look to be a young, talented team, and should be right in the mix in this list.

4. The Hardys. Much better as a tag team than they both are at singles wrestling, that's for sure. But every Hardy tag match just seems to be a duplicate of the last, and I do think they are overrated. They are over, so they get 4 on my list.

5. Deuce and Domino. Young, and green, but that's the way the tag division is these days. They are developing and impressing me occasonally though, and I think because they are improving, they get to be #5.

6. The Majors. These guys are young but in the matches I have seen them in, they are impressive. Look out for them on SmackDown because I think a push is coming for them.

7. Cryme Tyme. We are into the dregs now I think. These guys have not had one shred of improvement (and even talent) since they came into the WWE. Their gimmick has also gotten really lame already. They have maybe had 1 or 2 good matches, but I can't recall many.

8. Lastly, the Highlanders. They aren't all that bad, but I just find them incessantly boring. They are the resident jobbers on Heat, and that's because a. no one likes them, and b. they don't have talent.

10. Edge - He's a good in ring technician but the Character development as a heel is kind of boring. They should make him a face as he plays that better.

9. Shelton Benjamin - An excellent wrestler but falls flat on mic skills.

8. Paul London - Another good ring technician but needs to slow down his matches and tell a good story.

7. John Cena - An all around good performer but could use a personality enhancement like be more agressive and assertive when building up matches.

6. Ric Flair - The man is a legend! But over the last couple of years has been demoted to jobber for younger talent and his in ring has gotten a tad shoddy because of it.

5. Ken Kennedy - This man has proved he deserves to be in my top 5 but at the bottom because he has a tendency to get hurt when they start giving him a push. He's a excellent technician and is one of the few newer superstars to get a decent gimmick.

4. Randy Orton - The man is built on athleticism. He moves flawlessly and precise Overall a very smooth in ring performer. A true talent that has recently been under a microscope for his backstage behavior. Once he gets that in check. The world is his.

3. Shawn Michaels - Who knew that he could return after 4 years away and go straight to the top tier again? I am just in awe of this man's choice to stand up for what he believes in personally in a company where corruption and deception run rampant and still retain his top spot.

2. Triple H - This guy is the epitome of what a sports entertainment figure should be. Excellent in the ring and on the mic. Only one does it better.....

1. Undertaker - He isn't called the phenom for nothing! Mark could play any character given to him. He is the best both in the ring and out.

Honorable Mention
Shane McMahon - This guy is as extreme as you can get and I personally would like to see a TLC match between him and Jeff Hardy.

1. Edge- he is the best wrestler in the WWE these days and his spear is killer and he can make you hate him beyond repair, which a good heel does

2. RKO - has one of the best finishers in teh WWE right now and is the best heel on smackdown

3. MVP - i think i mighta been the only one who liked him when he first came in, and his recent improvment has really made him move up on this list

4. Trips - Hands down good finisher and an excelent heel and face

5. Cena - i kno im going to catch a lot of crap for this one but come on he has to get some love people, his entrance gets you pumped and he is the most popular guy out there

6. Bobby Lashley - anyone that says this guy cant wrestle just doestn like power moves, becuase he maybe cant wrestle finaly style or regal style but lashley does the power moves flawlessly, and the crowd pops for him

7 and 8 tie: Finaly and Regal - for the same reason somtimes you love to see the old school slow it down technical wrestling

9 and 10: CM Punk and Burk - Because somtimes you dont want to see the old farts going slow in the ring and you want to see the new face of wrestling, imo these guys have the new move set, in 15 years everyone will copy these two.

No order.

Edge He's great in the ring and the mic, he can get alot of heat during promos, he's just an all around good wrestler. He's one of the best in the ring right now.

Triple H He's a great heel. He is an amazing wrestler and has been great for awhile now. One of the best around today.

Kennedy He's improved so much since coming in. He's really getting better in the ring and is arguably the best on the mic in WWE today.

MVP He's also really improved. His in ring skills have just soared since coming into the WWE. He's still getting better to. At first I didn't think he'd be that much but now I really think he'll be big.

HBK He's always been good. He's one of the best of all time and can still wrestle really good. Just a great wrestler.

Randy Orton He's amazing in the ring. He's also a great heel which really helps him. He's just a really great wrestler and always seems to have good matches.

Booker T He's a great wrestler. He's great in the ring and has amazing mic skills. I really don't like his King gimmick but he still is great.

William Regal Underrated. He's a great technical wrestler. He puts on good matches all the time. I really think he should be a main eventer. He's always impressed me.

Elijah Burke He's been really good since he came into WWE. I've really been impressed with his in ring skills and he will improve even more.

CM Punk He's also been great since coming in WWE. He was great doing indy stuff to. He has a great moveset and like Burke, will continue to get better and be something big in WWE.

Ok I do agree with most of this list, except Randy Orton. For 1, he is RAW, not SMACKDOWN. 2 I don't think he has a great finisher. Yes, it can look very effective when done properly, but i have seen several botched RKOs in the past where he still gets the pinfall victory. He either needs to do the move right, or get a different finisher

I don't think he botches the RKO. To me it looks like the person who is recieving it sells it terribly. For an ex. Ric Flair

1.Edge - It would't suprise me one bit if edge has atleast 7 world title reigns when his career is over

2.Randy Orton - If it wasn't for his behavior outside of the ring, he could be a 3 Time world heavyweight champion right now instead of Boretista.

3.Carlito - For as big as he is, he can pull off some very impressive high flying moves. I seem him being the IC champion with in the next couple of months.

4. MVP - Even though his ring attire looks like gay under armor, this guy is getting better in the ring and is getting more popular every week.

5.Shelton Benjamin - I would put him infront from Carlito and MVP but I've seen him botched a few moves every so often, but other than that, he is one of the best in the ring right now. If he can improve his mic skills than I see a push coming in the future.

6.Triple H - He is so old school but yet he is so good. The best spine buster in the wwe.

7.Finlay - see triple H

8. CM Punk - He has an incredible moveset and I'm not ashamed to say that he is going to be the one carrying ECW very soon.

9. Shawn Micheals - Even though you can tell he is past his prime, he can still put on very good matches.

10. Mr Kennedy - This guy has the whole package. He has undeniable mic skills and knows how to entertain the crowd. The reason why he is isn't higher on my list is because he has been injury proned as of late.

1.Shawn Michaels- Well first off this guy is my hero.He just blew all tag teams away with the Rockers showing more high risk tag team moves. In his prime no one could beat this guy.He just kept going. He made some of the most memorable matches and despite his bullshit politicking he gave us great title reigns. This guy is way past his prime and just consistantly gives a good performance. He is amazing on the mic and cuts great promos. He is definetly the best.

2.Edge-I never saw this guy going far in the business but I always like him.But I was proved wrong. He has given us amazing matches and is the best heel in the WWE today. He is great on the mic and the ring.

3.Triple H-For a guy his size he is an amazing wrestler and his given us some great rivalries and great matches. He is also great in the ring despite some of his bullshit backstage.

4.MVP-This guy in the past 8 months has amazed me with how much in-ring knowledge he has garnered and the matches he has put on.Amazing talent.

5.CM Punk-He is an amazing athlete and is a great wrestler. He will one day reach the top without a doubt.

6.Umaga-I agree with Prax. His gimmick may be dumb but for a guy this size his speed and agility amazes me.Definetly deserves some attention.

7.Randy Orton-A third generation superstar and he can wrestle. He has showed some good matches and is a great heel and he can reach the top once again if he would stop fucking up outside the ring.

8.Mr.Kennedy-He has showed that he belongs in the spotlight. His mic skills are above anyone elses and has in ring talent. He is definetly the next big thing.

9.William Regal-He is the best or one of the best pure wrestlers in the WWE as of today.Given us some good matches.

10.Booker T-He has been in the business a while and has accumulated 30+ titles.Amazing in ring skills and is just great.

Undertaker should be in here but I decided to put these ten instead.

Talented...in the ring or overall(mic skills, charisma, ring skills)?? maybe you want to adjust the term Prax.

Maybe i'm wrong, but i noticed that some people went for some of their
FAVORITES wrestlers on the lists, so i would try to stay impartial on mine.

Also, with no particular order...

-Booker: If you think in some of the most dominant wrestlers of the late years of WCW, Booker T comes into my mind at first, 5 times WCW champ, WHC champ, he is in amazing shape and his move set is one of the most athletic for guys of his size. Mic skills? Pffftt, not anybody can come up with two different gimicks and get the top spot.

-Randy Orton: Great performer, no matter if is just a silly angle (the guy can be funny sometimes!!) or a great match, Orton is simply one of the best talents right now. He has the body, the skills, and he was WHC once. Great resume, great future. The next Triple H in terms of tweeners IMO...

-Edge: World Heavyweight Champion means anything?? He is way O.V.E.R. with the crowd (sometimes its louder than Cena, FACT) and The "Rated R" product is changing the way wrestling is seen Woldwide; not always the good guys are the best,(Sorry Dead-Air Dave ) He is NOT a good guy, he is the TOP heel on WWE and he is the WH CHAMP, Period.

-Shawn Michaels: What can i say about him.. Mr. Wrestlemania, The Showstopper...The nicknames aren't for nothing. I cant remember another Wrestler with SO many classic matches in his back. Just a VERY talented guy can do that.

-Triple H: He is THE GAME. Enough said. Want more? He doesn't need to win 3 fucking Wrestlemania Matches in a row to be on the Top of the Food chain. Hell, he could have 2 John Cenas for breakfast and win another World Title before noon. Yes, he's that good.

-LonDrick(Paul London & Brian Kendrick)ok, I had to put these two in one spot, because they deserve it. The fact that they dont talk AT ALL(Ashely was in charge of that...) and both are kind of midgets in the eyes of Vince, doesnt change that they were WWE champs for almost a year. Brilliant execution of spots, they dont need to pace down the matches(that would kill them..). Shawn Michaels must be damn proud.

-Mickie James: WHAT!!?? Yeah, and I hope Echelon could read this, he couldn't be more agreed. Ok, Candice is the champ now (not so talented, HOT, but no so talented...)and if you see the division, who else could give a good solid match?? Torrie? Michelle McCool? wrong, wrong... Altough Melina is a fair performer, she is not as intense as Mickie on the ring. I'm totally agree to see Maria, Marysse, and even Extreme SEXpose from time to time, but if i want to see a good womens match, i would look for a Mickie james one. I heard Jillian is well trained, but he is a total bitch and frankly, her matches
are boring as hell, doesnt matter if she is a heel and have to lose everytime, are still boring. And Victoria is good, but Mickie is better, and hotter!LOL!

-Mr. Kennedy: JBL said it well: He is the fastest Rising Superstar in the biz, considered by many as the next Stone Cold or the next Rock, and im sure he will be great,(dont know how great though) but RIGHT NOW, he has everything he need: Good ring skills, maybe he needs a new finisher (see: "Who needs a new finisher" Thread) but as somebody post it before, I enjoy to watch Mr. Kennedy, EVEN if he is injured, the man is a people magnet, he has a charisma the size of his mouth, and he got lucky last year, when creative decided to book him against Undertaker, for me, that was the defining moment of Kennedy's rise to stardom.

-Jonny Nitro: I dont care if he was a jabroni last month, Nitro has an extensive history of good matches as a member of MNM and in singles as IC champ. His feud with Jeff Hardy was one of the best of the second half of 2006 IMO. He got stucked for a little jobbing to Cena for a few matches, then he was sent to HEAT, but i saw that as a result of his relationship with Melina. Now, with her out of the picture, he can focus on his belt, and nothing else. Great finisher he has, a Spinning Neckbreaker, dont know the official name. Nitro fans: expect good things from him!!

The Undertaker: Ahh, the good ol' Deadman, Undertaker is like the wines: He get better through the ages, i mean: Who else with 40+ (he's 42) can do a Old School without looking ridiculous? LOL! not, seriously, The undertaker is by far, the biggest star on the history of the WWE, more than the fucking Rock and more than Austin; nobody and mark my words: NOBODY is going to have a 15-0 Wrestlemania record (could be 16-0 if he wants) even that monkey shit of Cena who needs some big stars to put him over (Last 3 WM anyone?)
The Undertaker is the most talented big guy who ever stepped a ring in the WWE/F history, and his backstage leadership can speak for that, nobody is as respected as him, why? Talented GREAT wrestlers doesnt need fluke movies to be a the top of the company. He Is like Triple H, but lucky for taker, he got in first.

honorific Mentions: CM Punk(Future WWE champ), Umaga(i wonder if he can make it without the Gimmick), Finlay and Elijah Burke (future WHC) IMO.

11. Gregory Helms - I added 11 people since hes on the injured list for a while. Ever see those old WcW matches with billy kidman and the sort. He can wrestle and possibly save the WWE cruiserweight division.

10. Charlie Hass - They hold him back to much, should be a singles
competitor on smackdown in the US title hunt

9. Carlito - highly talented, but also lazy as sin, he needs to get into gear if he dont want to wind up unemployed

8. Kane - takes spots well, sells like a pro, he just needs to grow his hair back

7. Kevin Thorn - he will be a main eventer since hes so big, but he carries himself well despite wrestling smaller guys.

6. Finlay - look for tapes from the 80s, you'll see why he should get more TV time (he would embarass anyone on that roster in a real wrestling match or a fist fight)

5. William Regal - See Finlay

4. Mr Kennedy - no one, aside from the older guys like HBK and HHH, have mic skills and wrestling skills. plus hes a bleeder

3. Mickey James - thats right a girl, that could prob out wrestle batista and john cena at the same time, plus shes hot which never hurts

2. CM Punk - hes the new RVD, he'll be over till the end of time

1. London and Kendrick - reference Ring of Honor, WWE dosent let them do ANYTHING they used to.
