Bill Lesnar is dissapointed that Roman Reigns beat Miz for the intercontinental title.

Bill Lesnar would have kept the title on Miz until wrestlemania season, where Miz would be going for record number of days with the title. In this period he would talk up this record and become increasingly arrogant. He would also go on a huge winning streak, that he would consistently mention and garner hype for.

Meanwhile, Chris Jericho announces his return for the rumble. At the rumble, Miz isnt in the big match, rather defending (successfully) against Jason Jordan in a vicious last man standing match, after Jordan had failed numerous times to take the title in standard 1 vs 1 conditions. Finally ending that fued,
and futhering an invincinble aura around him and the title. After that match, Miz is being interviewed. It's the standard post win gloat. Jericho interrupts and makes Miz look like a fool. When it comes to the rumble match, Miz sneaks in and eliminates Y2J.

This starts a feud, where Jericho puts his career on the line for a shot at ending Miz reign at Wrestlemania. 2/3 falls. Jericho being one of the all time great IC champs. The feud has to be a blood fued. Personal, everything on the line. Street fight between Axel and Jericho in the buildup. There is a lot of talk about Jericho being finished, and not winning the big one (that Ziggler feud had untapped potential). The build up really has no reason not to be great.

In the match itself (right in the middle of the card), Miz dominates the start. Eventually getting the first fall. Skull crushing finale etc. Eventually Jericho (covered in blood, after getting attacked by the miztourage during the first fall), makes a comeback and makes Miz tap to the walls in a great visual. Finally Jericho gets rid of the miztourage and the deck is no longer stacked. It looks like Jericho is going to win, but Miz is too good in the end and pins Jeircho again to retain.

Jericho leaves to an ovation and retires etc, Miz is a made man and moves up the card.

Jericho takes on the mick foley role to Miz's Edge.
