I can understand people voting Goldberg here, especially considering he is hot right now. Goldberg was a force of nature, an unstoppable wrestler who rapidly rose to the top and won the World title. He was the most important wrestler WCW developed in their later years and captivated wrestling fans around the globe. His streak and ultimate victory over Hogan for the championship were some of the biggest moments in WCW history. Goldberg looked to be a fixture at the top of the card and was his promotions big gun in it's war against the WWF. Unfortunately, the supernova that was Bill Goldberg burned out in less than four years and WCW went under, being bought out by the competition.

Jeff Jarrett didn't quite reach the peak that Goldberg did but he did a lot more, for a lot longer and is vastly more important to the history of professional wrestling. The supernova that was Goldberg had a peak that lasted less than five years(current run will add to it, of course) while Jeff Jarrett has been an important figure in the sport for decades. I believe that his consistency and success over nearly three decades in the business more than holds up against Goldberg's brief resume and when little things like legacy and overall importance to the sport are factored in, he far surpasses Goldberg. Believe me, I know it's easy to make fun of TNA but it can't be ignored that this wrestling promotion has somehow managed to survive longer than venerable organizations like WCW and ECW and has given innumerable wrestlers a place to ply their craft and earn a wage.

If anyone doubts the length or success of Jeff Jarrett's wrestling career, take a look at the titles he held. (info courtesy of wrestlingdata.com)

On one hand, you have Goldberg; a charismatic guy with a great look, middling ring skills, and who was borderline unstoppable for less than a handful of years until his employer died out. On the other, you have a man whose entire life has been dedicated to wrestling, both as an extremely successful competitor and also spearheading what became the second largest wrestling company in the country. Vote for the guy with thirty years of success over the guy with about five. Vote for the guy who has made wrestling his life over the guy who seemed to be in a hurry to get away from it. Vote Jeff Jarrett.

Kudos to you for gathering so much information about the title runs of both the competitors. I already voted for Goldberg and now will try to justify it.

Personally, I don't damn care about the quantity of title reigns. Just see how Charlotte has 4-5 title reigns already before completing her two year stint on the main roster. I rather care about quality of title reigns. For example, Asuka or Bayley in NxT. Or Miz's recent InterContinental title reign. Goldberg was far more interesting as well as entertaining to me than Jeff Jarrett ever was. Goldberg's reigns' quality far outweighs Jarrett's longevity as well as bunch if title reigns. Like Ric Flair has arguably the most world title reigns in wrestling but I just don't like him or find him entertaining. Maybe I have missed the prime Ric but Ric in his last 5-10 years was boring to me. That's not to say that he's bad or anything. Just not my cup of tea/coffee/water. And it's same for Jeff.

Goldberg in a squash. Even if this happened in TNA and Jeff Jarett was booking the match, Goldberg still goes over in a squash.

Jarrett at his best was a midcarder punching above his weight. Goldberg is a legit superstar even as an over the hill dad coming back for a last grab at glory.

Now take a gander at Goldberg's championship history:

WCW United States Heavyweight Title
1998/04/20 - 1998/07/06
WCW World Heavyweight Title
1998/07/06 - 1998/12/27
WCW United States Heavyweight Title
1999/10/24 - 1999/10/25
WCW World Tag Team Titles (with Bret Hart) 1999/12/07 - 1999/12/13
WWE World Heavyweight Title
2003/09/21 - 2003/12/14
WWE Universal Title

On one hand, you have Goldberg; a charismatic guy with a great look, middling ring skills, and who was borderline unstoppable for less than a handful of years until his employer died out. On the other, you have a man whose entire life has been dedicated to wrestling, both as an extremely successful competitor and also spearheading what became the second largest wrestling company in the country. Vote for the guy with thirty years of success over the guy with about five. Vote for the guy who has made wrestling his life over the guy who seemed to be in a hurry to get away from it. Vote Jeff Jarrett.
Are we voting based on who we think the better wrestler is, or who we think would actually be booked to go over if this was a real tournament?

Option one, Goldberg won't make it past the second round. Option two, it depends which gimmick matches he catches in round 3-4.

This isn't up for debate. Yes Jarrett is a better wrestler, but this is easy squash match. Goldberg advances.
