The Miz and Jeff Jarrett; are they similar?

If people are confused about this I mean styles in the ring.

The Miz's finishing move is called the skull crushing finale and now Ric Flair has given "permission" for Miz to use the Figure Four Leg Lock.

Jeff Jarrett's finishing moves are the Figure Four Leg Lock and The Stroke (which is exactly the same as the skull crushing finale)

So, do you see this as because they are similar? A shot to Jeff Jarrett by WWE or just a coincidence?

How would it be a shot? The Miz is a former WWE Champion.

The Stroke and Skullcrushing Finale are similar but not the same.
The Skullcrushing Finale is a full nelson face buster.
The Stroke is an arm twist reverse sto.

And plenty of guys have used the figure four.

So, to answer the question it's just a coincidence.

hmm, apart from the Stroke and SCF being "similar" and now Miz using the figure four, which Jarrett use at times, Im sorry but no, I see nothing similar in them. Miz is a former eality tv star, Jarrett is second generation, wrestling inm his blood. Jarrett has paid his dues and been a head line act at some point in WWEF/E, WCW, NWA/TNA, Memphis...Miz apart from a few month run with the WWE title where he was an after thought, has been an entertaining mid card act.
I do expect though, Miz to surpass Jarrett with time, Miz could be an all time great, he has all of the tools. But at this point in time, it is just like comparing Steve Austin and Johnny Ace because they both used the Ace Crusher, or DDP and Orton

I'm not sure how you can say that Miz is Johnny Ace to Jeff Jarrett's Steve Austin. Miz is undeniably better known to the general public than Double J...he's on billboards for christs sake. Jeff Jarrett never main evented the Georgia Dome in front of 70,000 people against John Cena. All of Jeff Jarrett's title reigns combined were not as memorable as one of Miz's.

I don't even like the Miz. But I think your comparison is way out in left field.

yes the Stroke & Skull Crushing Finale is similar but not the same. Stroke is a Foreward Russian Leg Sweep. The Skull Crushing Finale is a Full Nelson Legsweep Facebuster, identical to The Sexay Facebuster by Grandmaster Sexay

As noted the SCF and the Stroke are similar but not the same. If using the figure four makes them the same, then both are clearly the same as Ric Flair, which well, ummmmmm, again, NO!!!!!!

I don't care for the Miz. I think his charisma is forced and overrated, but by comparison to Jarrett, who essentially has the charisma of a coat hanger, Miz looks like, we'll, Ric Flair.

May pay for you to actually read my post. What I was stating clearly was that Jarrett and Miz are nothing alike, and to compare them as being similar was the same as comparing Austin and Johnny Ace, because they used the same finisher. Its an idiotic notion and one would assume that was easily the point being made. There is always one on each discussion forum.

Well, I think it's safe to say that the maneuver that The Miz is using is not the figure four leglock, so there's goes that part of the equation.

As thebarber already pointed out, just because two guys use similar finishers doesn't mean they're similar in other ways. I sincerely hope The Miz's moveset isn't supposed to be like Double J's, because while Jarrett is a good hand in the ring, he never really stood out to me because of his work. Very vanilla, IMO. No matter how you slice it, though, this is sort of a silly question. If it's anything other than coincidence that they're finishers are similar I'd be very, very surprised.
