Oh fuck, I LOVE Ready to Rumble. It is damn cheesy but it is piece of wrestling history and better than any other wrestling film out there. There is a lot of hate on this thread out there and I am beginning to wonder if they kick puppies. The movie requires no thought and is amusing....
The irony and it basically sums up WCW during this time: The movie released on April 5. And it was not until a week and a half later that Arquette appeared on TV. Then it was two weeks later or so when he won the title. The movie was already done in the theaters. It was a two week and done movie. |

I love Ready to Rumble
I would hate the tie ins they would do if it was done. But it would be cool if they had gotten a competent script

Make a movie called NXT it will be like the 8 mile Eminem or 50 Cent Movie except make it either a total fictional character and show tryouts and trying to make it in the business is just the side aspect

Of course the WWE could film a “Ready To Rumble” type of movie!! Now, in the so called PG Era, especially. There are clear cut good guys and bad guys…and tweeners, enough to fill up a 3 part series. This genre could be the golden ticket the Hall Of Famers and Legends need to stretch their careers even further.
The only thing I ask for is that they put the Elimination Chamber inside Hell In A Cell, with the Undisputed WWE Title hanging from the center of the Chamber’s roof. We’re going to need Tables, Ladders, and Chairs inside the Chamber. And that’s just part 1.

What? WWE make another Ready to Rumble and ruin their award winning movie company? hahahaha ok just kidding.
I think Ready to Rumble is enjoyable to watch. Dosnt take itself too serious. Well WWE could make a movie like that. Maybe make it where a couple fan (maybe one based off of sign guy) are tired of what WWE has become. So they go on the search to get some of the old school people back like Stone Cold and HBK and Edge among others to bring back some attitude back into the product. Could have Shawn trying to get HHH out of the monkey suit and go back to the DX style HHH. Which they over throw Vince and throw out the PG Era and it would be the way Vince Finally can retire and the way all the Attitude Era People will be happy plus with it focusing on people like Stone, HBK, Edge, Trish, Lita among others it wouldnt be pulling many people off the road besides the short cameos that could be filmed on days off or at arenas that they are already at. |

This is such a bad idea.
Here is all you need to know about Ready To Rumble Budget $24,000,000 Box office $12,452,362 (worldwide) It lost over $11 Million dollars. WWE is in the business of making money. Wrestling Movies don't make money. Why would I go watch a fake movie about a fake sport? Would you go watch a movie on how the Harleem Globetrotters overcame diversity to beat the Washington Generals? |

I think if WWE makes a movie, it should star one of their lowercarders. IT wouldn't hurt the product if someone like Johnny Curtis disappeared because he's barely on TV or house shows anyway, and it would basically give them a platform to get over.

Besides, if the WWE Films division folded, how will Wal-Mart fill their $5 DVD bin?

First about a quarter of the WWE films make money. But the WWE also keeps the cost controlled with small casts and they're more in the home to DVD Market. But the WWE's plan is based off of getting one huge hit. Like Die Hard or Speed where they'll make a ton of cash and ride it to the ground. Plus its also an incentive for the Talent. |
