Default About RAW tonight....

I couldn't have picked a better time to go to my first RAW event. I'll be taking my 5 year old son with me as he's starting to like wrestling. I'm pumped that WWE chose last night to introduce Rollins and Ambrose. Anyone have any advice about going to RAW, especially about taking a 5 year old? Can I sneak drinks in there or something? Will we be allowed to get a little closer to the ring to take pictures? Etc...

Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum.

You guys are gonna have a blast! I took my son last year to the RAW right before WM and it was his first live wrestling event, he was 5 years old as well. Depending on what time you plan on getting there take something to keep him busy because you might be standing in long lines for a little while. They check your bags pretty good before you enter the main buildings so it can be hard to sneak food or drinks in, but we got a couple juice boxes and pop tarts past them when we went. I guess it really depends on the venue you are at. Unless you already have floor seating you aren't gonna have access to getting much closer to the ring, again that could depend on how strict the venue you are at is about that sort of thing. Anyways you guys will have a fantastic time!

There's nothing like going to a live Raw event. It is an incredible experience. Let me tell you that the pyro is f'n loud! if you're not ready for it, you will almost piss yourself from being startled. The other thing to be ready for is the loss of illusion. You may not notice it when you watch Raw because you've never been live. Almost everytime a move is about to connect, the camera angle will switch so you don't realize the space left from the punch or kick. You won't have that when you're there live.

Make a sign and buy a shirt. It will be an experience you will never forget. Have a blast man!

I took my 6 year old brother and cousin to a Smackdown taping recently. Things are as expensive as they can get. Like 4 dollars for a drink. 6 and you got a cool cup with a few wrestlers. I wouldn't bring a sign. We had two, and they were way too much of a hassle. I had black marks on my hands and arms, plus carrying them around can get tiring. Then, you hardly have room to lift them up in the venue. But, the experience will be GREAT!

Make sure you go to the back of the building as soon as the show is over to catch the superstars and divas leaving. I was Lillian and Alicia as they were driving off because I didn't get there till late. I talked to others and they said they saw Bryan, Rhodes, and many others driving off. The stars will sometimes give you a hi or a simple smile. Its real cool.
