Will TNA Wrestling ever mount a real challenge to WWE, or are they just too far behind and destined to remain a distant second place blip on the radar of WWE?

That is true. I somehow forgot about WCW being the serious in-ring company.

I don't know how often you have pondered this, but how do you think wrestling would have played out if Hogan didn't go to the WWF and instead went to WCW after getting big in the AWA?

Other than the Miz, who do you see moving up to the Main Event scene in the near future?

I really can't picture it. You have to keep a few things in mind.

WWE has been around nearly 30 years. They know what they're doing. TNA has been around longer than ECW and longer than WCW after it left the NWA. They've had their time and nothing has really come of it.

You also have to consider how much money WWE brings in. Think about it: let's go VERY conservative and say they have 5 shows a week (keep in mind they have two touring rosters) and get 5000 people a show (again conservative as PPVs usually get about 15,000 and big shows like Mania hit upwards of 60k. The Raw I went to was a legit sellout and Rupp Arena holds well over 20,000) and let's say every ticket is $20 (again WAY low). That amounts to half a million dollars a week at incredibly low numbers. This is ignoring PPV buys, any money they make from TV stations they're on, merchandise etc. That is A LOT of money. What does TNA bring in?

At the end of the day, WWE has the money, the knowledge and the leadership. Also the WWE name still means a lot. How many times do you hear of someone talking down about any wrestling and refer to it as WWE? It's the undisputed first name in wrestling and with the money it brings in, it's going to be that way for a very long time. TNA is too far behind, but stranger things have indeed happened so it's not completely out of the question. Just incredibly unlikely.

He would have bombed. Hogan was a superhero come to life. In other words, everything the NWA wasn't. As for the WWF, they would have survived. That's the only real argument I can make for Austin being more important to WWF than Hogan: without Austin they die. WIthout Hogan they live, but don't thrive.

Doubt it but maybe parts of it. And black.

Miz isn't there already? And that's hard to say. Alberto....maybe. I think it's more likely that someone will pop up and be put into the main event rather than rising to it, which is a big problem in wrestling today.

Maybe a tag title but I doubt anything higher than that. Slight chance of the US/IC.
