Sadly, Main Event isn't broadcast over here in the UK, so I'm only qualified enough to comment on the bits and bobs I've seen on YouTube. Nonetheless, as I stated in another thread last week, the whole show seems pretty redundant since those matches could reasonably be fitted into the Smackdown shows if WWE just got rid of the crap that eats up so much of the broadcast's time.

On the other hand, as Jack-Hammer kindly illustrates, WWE are making $100,000 a week from the show (which is enough to pay Matt Striker's wages for the next thirty years!), as well as garnering extra ratings, so it's obvious that Main Event won't disappear for a long while.

The problem I foresee Main Event having in the long term is when they get to the point where they've run out of new matches to showcase. Though a lot of us have been impressed with the rejuvenation of the tag-team division, it seems like we've been watching the combination of matches for months on end now, and there only so many mid-carders who can wrestle without the show eventually degrading into Superstars. Time will tell.

Hopefully in the near future some NXT wrestlers will get the chance to appear on one of WWE's 'B' shows just to test the water with how a larger audience treats them.

It's a lot better than RAW, that's for damn sure. RAW disappoints constantly, ME has yet to do so. It isn't the best, as NXT is better IMO, but it comes at a relatively close 2nd. If only RAW and SD! were booked this way...

Right now it’s my favorite WWE show. I like the concept and have enjoyed every episode so far.

I like when they show video packages of the wrestlers and have both wrestlers cut promos before their matches. It just makes their match feel more important

I would get rid of the filler match and only show one match. I like watching one extended tv match. It annoys me when they recap what happened on Raw. Everyone already watches Raw. I hate that they waste time on Main Event or Smackdown recapping stuff from Raw. They should just do a weekly recap show.

There have been a few good matches on there, more so the kofi Kingston and the miz for the ic title. I like that its more about good matches than story lines and promos, and it has been good so far.
