I was just wandering what his situation is currently? I know he had a try out with WWE but not read anything since. I've watched quite a few of his matches and I am very impressed.
So, have any of you heard anymore about WWE's interest in him? Do you want to see him in the WWE? Regards Sid |

There's a lot of upside to Adam Cole that Triple H is looking for when it comes to signing new talent.
Cole is someone that's garnered a lot of experience out there on the indy circuit. He's been wrestling for about 5 years now and isn't someone that just thought wrestling was a cool thing to do for a while. He's about 6'0" and around 200 pounds, so he's in the same general size range as a lot of top guys. He's athletic but doesn't just rely on tons of huge spots and has some good technical ability from what I've seen of him. One downside, potentially, to Cole is that he's only 23 years old. If Cole were to be brought to WWE, then there'd be people clamoring for him to be elevated to the main roster and then right smack into a title feud whether he was ready for it or not. A downside with someone as Cole, at least it'd be a downside for some, is that WWE might wait for a long time to really push the guy. Pushing guys who are really young to the top really quickly is what lead to Randy Orton winning, I think, 8 of his 9 World Championships before he was 30 years old. He & Cena were winning World Championships in their mid 20s and were in the title picture so frequently and so often that there's just not a lot left for them to do. If is signed by WWE then the company will probably take its time. Triple H generally wants guys who are both young, yet have definitely paid their dues. If Cole is someone that develops well in NXT, if signed, then he could have a bright future.

He's still with Ring of Honor and will be through May.
He's booked to face Kevin Steen for the ROH World Championship at Border Wars should he retain against Mark Briscoe at a live event in two weeks (which is a probability) and Jay Briscoe at Supercard of Honor which isn't as certain due to Ring of Honor's return to an unpredictable product where anybody can beat just about anybody, like it was in the beginning. Not to mention hes still the PWG World Heavyweight Champion and is booked through May also. If/when Cole signs he'll be a great addition. There's nobody I can see currently on the indies with the potential he has to develop into a top star. He has a good look about him, really nice guy, loves doing interviews as I've done two with him in the past, enjoys interacting with fans and is a hard worker always trying ti improve himself. I've no doubt he will eventually sign with WWE as he told me it was his dream to do so one day, but not right now, he still has too much to do on the indies, and it gives him a platform to continually improve himself.

they were told that they would hear back in 3 or 4 weeks. then they'd be required to pass physical & blood testing. that could take weeks or months like it did Chris Hero/Kassius Ohno where he has a naturally high testosterone which required a baseline set of results to refer to for future Wellness testing as high testosterone is normally a red flag on wellness policy

Cool a thread on an ROH guy! I have been impressed by Adam Cole. Cole has that classic exciting high flying style and caught my eye when teaming with Kyle O' Reily who is more of a Davey Richards MMA style. Cole is fast, tenacious, resilent and has a good attitude and look. I think if he stays on his path he will have a very impressive wrestling career.
Honestly if I was WWE I'd pretty much raid the majority of the ROH roster. ROH is filled with hungry young talents eat sleep and breath pro wrestling and want to be like the superstars they watched growing up. They do seem like they want to make a mark on the business like CM Punk and just don't want to hold keep their place on the roster as the criticism of a lot of current wrestlers goes. WWE was smart picking up Punk, Bryan, Cezaro, Ohno and El Generico recently. I don't see this trend ending anytime soon which is a very good thing for WWE and stars like Adam Cole.
