85-85 going into OT, Spurs only hitting 9 points in the 4th. Maybe I was right about Memphis.

Never count out this Grizzlies team. OT baby!
Huge flagrant foul call at the end. Probably a flop by Allen that could be the difference in this game and series. |

Unfortunately they couldn't finish the job, had the spurs on their heels the whole 4th though. Hopefully next game they play like they did in the 4th all game.

This Grizzlies team has a never quit attitude that is really fun to watch. They just don't have enough outside shooting in the starting 5. The last shot by Bayless was really bad shot selection. But they found a way to score in the 4th quarter. The 4th quarter shows how they can dominate in defence when the Spurs' 3s are not falling. Spurs had many open shots that didn't go in.

What a Game 1 of the ECF!
Miracle shot by George to force overtime. Critical mistakes by both teams at the end of OT. Wade fouling a 3 point shooter and then George overplaying James without Hibbert in the game. Those last possessions by the Heat shows how Bosh can negate the interior defence of the Pacers by forcing Hibbert out of the game with his excellent shooting. A James/Wade drive or Bosh mid range -3 point game. Pick your poison. Great start to the series. |

That was a great way to start the ECF! Both teams are going to play hard during this series. I think the Pacers can step toe to toe toward the Heat. Indiana did a great job on the boards, they can play defense. Indiana did a bad job turning over the ball. Both teams play great, I'm looking forward for rest of the series.

It was a great game last night for ECF I feel the pacers are going to be able to push the heat to a game 7 but ultimately I feel the heat are too talented to lose the series. But this game was a huge wake up call for the heat if I were the pacers I would feel pretty good about their chances for an upset.

I wouldn't be too worried if I was the Heat. I felt the Pacers played the type of game they wanted and still lost. The Heat will make adjustment to get Game 2 back to the type of game they want to play. But still a fascinating series with small ball vs bigs. Battier and West defending each other is funny to watch.

That G1 was a huge blow for the Pacers. They had some extreme luck (George's tying 3 pointer, the foul on Wade right before James GW) and still couldn't pull it out. They will maybe take a game or two since they are a tough out, but Miami should be able to handle them enough to move on back to the Finals again.
