What did we all think of this show guys? I thought it was a good show. All matches were pretty good except for the main event. In my opinion it was just....there. I don't remember any significant moments in the match whatsoever. I can't think of any near falls or big spots...
But like I say rest of the card was good and happy with the majority of the results, especially Daniels beating AJ.

Do you watch wrestling for the near falls? I hate when they do too many
Hardy took a great bump in the ME when he jumped the rail When Austin and Bully Ray work together it's wrestling magic. Commentary is 10 times better with a third voice. Fire that old lady they brought over from WCW. In the intro package to the main event, Bobby Roode cut the same god damn promos he cut one year ago. This guy has become such a one trick pony on the mic that it's ridiculous.

I really enjoyed Final Resolution; the Cowboy versus Kaz was a nice 'freebie' including some strong promo work between the two... just a pity it was played out in the Impact Zone which appeared to have some guy determined to start his own chants (in particular "This is awesome") and the atmosphere felt false for certain segments.
RVD versus K2 proved that Rob still deserves credit within the squared circle because he went out of his way to make King look like a legit threat even if he was unsuccessful in prying the X-Division belt away from the "Whole F'N Show". The Tag match did disappoint me, most likely because I saw enough of Supermex vs Morgan before. If Matt is going to succeed with his current gimmick, he needs to be a monster... a slightly tubby pornstar wannabe at his side ain't going to help this. Joey needs to either go solo (X-Division) or find a partner who he can actually gel with (but more on that later). While I loved A Double versus Bully for what it was (how great was Ray's missile dropkick), I was left feeling robbed when it ended just as it was becoming truly great. I'm hoping that this is a taster for the main course to come between the two down the line. Tara versus Mickie - not a bad match but heavily undermined by two factors, Velvet returning was implied to be more important than Mickie which must have confused casual fans as both were away for similar periods and Mickie's attire which was very distracting as it hinted possible wardrobe malfunction and she had to readjust it continuously. I can't help but feel that James heel turn tease going back a year is still on the cards. To be completely honest, I hated the 8 man - Joe and Kurt should not be lumbered with Bischoff and Briscoe who should not be back on PPV or Impact until they have greatly improved in the ring (nor should they be considered as A&8s double agents as that is neither shocking or remotely interesting). The final match between the Phenomenal 1 and the Fallen Angel... WOW! From what I've seen, the IWC in general is sick and tired of these two facing off. Me? I could watch these two face each other many more times as they are the epitome of why I still love this sport - true storytellers in the ring that keep you second guessing. Earlier on I stated that Joey Ryan needs to move away from the Blueprint, with the result here I can see Chris Daniels move into the World Title picture which leaves Kaz without a partner and him and Ryan would be a pretty good fit in my eyes. I'm going to have to strongly disagree with the OP on the main event, I think this was Jeff Hardy at his strongest - playing the injured hero overcoming insurmountable odds. He looked in pain at all times, Bobby controlled the match with an ease that has only grown and grown from the post BFG 11 heel turn and the Dusty finish actually worked very well in keeping both participants strong. All in all, especially for one of their 'B' PPVs, I felt this was a good to very good showing with some nice ambiguity that can be played on and developed into Genesis and onto Lockdown.

I didn't like it. I didn't like the PPV before that, I didn't like the one before THAT, I just don't fucking like TNA PPVs. They are absolutely boring.
NOTHING EVER HAPPENS! I don't mean match wise. Yeah, titles change - big fucking deal, as if we haven't seen a title change hands a fafillion times already. We're desensitized to that at this point. What I mean is nothing interesting happens, nothing that makes the show stand out, nothing that I could never see on an Impact. It's just match after match, some promo here and there where some dude says what I expect him to in a very mean voice and then it ends. I am NOT entertained by that. I want some promos, I want some action, I want some sudden developments that I didn't see coming, I want commentators to be more pumped up and I wanna feel like I'm watching a special episode of TNA's show. Instead, every TNA PPV feels like a sub-par Impact. Same thing except no story being told from minute one to minute 120, matches happening left and right and title changing hands (if that). I can't be the only one feeling this way. So why oh WHY I ask should people buy these things in the first place, if NOT ONLY is it not better than Impact - the FREE show on TV - but it's actually worse?

Yeah the Bully Aries match was my favourite by far, amazing how good a match they had at Sacrifice yet here they are in completely opposite roles and still excelling.

I enjoyed it but as Zevion_Zion said, nothing storyline related happened. I mean you could argue that Roode being attacked by Aces & Eights showed they answer to no one, but aside from a thirty second beatdown at the end of a three hour show, nothing happened, you had some good matches, but Impact provides that for free. I wouldn't have wanted to pay for a PPV and just get good matches, there was no drama at all.
PPV's are supposed to be the payoff, you want people to buy them for great matches and storylines furthered. Take Bound For Glory 2010. Great main event between Hardy, Anderson and Angle and you got the reveal of Immortal and Hardy turning heel. Good storytelling and a great match. Money In The Bank 2011, CM Punk vs John Cena. Built up on free tv and you had to pay for the great payoff. TNA needs to learn to build a storyline up for a great payoff. That's one of my only complaints with the company at the moment.

Final Resolution 2012
James Storm vs Kazarian First thing's first. Why wasn't the match pre-booked? It was quite good anyway. Storm's half of the promo wasn't bad. Kazarian seemed down on the mic. His "speech" was simply boring. Usually he's great but at the PPV, "Meh". On to the match, wasn't bad as an opening but we could have seen a lot more. The match had a weak build up, the least they could have done was have thrown on a great match. I'm not saying it sucked but it wasn't exactly PPV material. And another thing, looking at this from a Mark's perspective, Storm was meant to come out and talk about something or "have fun with the crowd" as he mentioned but if Kaz DIDN'T come out and interrupt Storm, what would have happened in the 10 minutes these guys wrestled? Anyway, thanks to Storms terrific charisma, the crowd kept on going. Throughout the rest of the show they slightly ruined the show. Storm was meant to be chasing the title. What happened to that? He gets put in a match that was booked at the show? What's up with that!? Grade D Kenny King vs RVD I said this before and I will say it again, it was obvious King wasn't going to win because he has only just arrived. Otherwise not a bad match. King needs those small improvements otherwise he carried on a great match with RVD, a veteran. That says something about this young man. RVD really made Kenny look good in this. Especially when he left the ring like "wuss". There was a point in the match where Kenny King ran towards RVD and belatedly stopped and THEN RVD elbowed him in the face. A flaw but at least they kept it going. There was that trade of kicks and great athleticism. Great, but no high spots. No top rope moves, dives (lacked) or any other feature the X-division defines. The X-division is meant to be for dare-devils and should involve high-risk moves. Yeah, we didn't quite get that here. That division has really changed throughout the years. But it was still pretty good for the high-flyers. King did beat the shit out of Rob but somehow, he won. RVD probably should have shown just that little bit more of offense here. Grade C/C- Chavo and Hernandez vs Matt Morgan vs Joey Ryan Matt Morgan and Joey Ryan = Bad chemistry. You have one serious guy that wants to kick Hulk Hogan's ass and then...Joey Ryan. They both want their vengeance on the guys in charge for not giving them a chance, isn't that what D-von is doing? Let Joey carry on with his career, he deserves it and Morgan should join the Aces. He fits in. He has that same build as most of them and is doing what D-Von is basically doing. The Aces need that fire power looking at the current and EVEN the rumoured members. Anyway, the match was poor apart from the tag-team moves. THEY were great. Both teams worked well together. But when Chavo and Ryan are in the ring facing off, you have a sloppy fight. When Chavo is with Morgan, he gets squashed and the same with Hernandez and Ryan together. When Morgan's with Hernandez, you get what Mark Madden calls "FAKE WRESTLING". I mean you have two beasts in the ring and the best you have is "lets see who can take each other down first"? The match didn't work but again, the tag moves were great and so was the ending. We didn't get a typical win what was expected (Ryan getting pinned). It ended up as a fight. No contest. Great brawl at the end but Morgan getting taken down by Hernandez had a slight issue. As cool amazing as it was, it brought down Morgan's "nobody can fuck with me" moniker. They better have him kick Hernandez's ass to put things back together. Grade C-/D Austin Aries vs Bully Ray Not a disappointing match which is no surprise with these two. We saw Ray annihilating Aries but nothing too shabby of Aries' behalf. We could have seen some high-flying moves. Otherwise it was a good match. Now on to the ending. Crap. Aries was going for a high spot move until Brooke ran down. Nothing’s going on? Dumb bitch stay in the back then. Who does that in a match? Running down to check on a bloodied man? Ruining a great spot!? Then Hogan came. Ray tells him to go back and The Hulkster does nothing? No story-line development here. Aries then won. I would also like to credit Bully Ray for his improvements over the recent 2 years. Great in-ring presence from him. I guess this kind of hypes up Impact though. Meaning what happens next? Is it finally clear to Hulk Hogan?Grade C/B- Tara vs Mickie James This was actually a decent match. Good wrestling from the both of them but Jesse got involved too many times and there wasn't enough offence from Tara. Otherwise not bad. Great wrestling form the Knockouts. However Mickie James should have won this. It would have developed the whole crap with Jesse and Tara and would have put Mickie in a feud with Velvet Sky who didn't even appear on screen. Remember whenever Mickie lost to Velvet she always got pissed? She looked like she was going to turn heel and that turn could have been complete if she feuded with Velvet maybe. We would have a great feud with the both. A lady with experience vs a talented "newbie". But if a match WAS set up between the 2 if James had won, the match should (have) be/been at LockDown. If it was Genesis; Sky would obviously win and that would mean James who has only just returned would have had a 1 month title reign which she doesn't deserve. BUT seeing as she didn't win at this months PPV, Velvet could have come out at least and have intimidated the James and Tara. Just so her return isn't buried. Her comeback helps the KO division. It's been dead recently. Grade C Aces and Eights vs Wes Brisco, Garret Bischoff, Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe So this is where they put the T.V champion? Why not let Joe keep it because he is actually going to DEFEND IT. Nobody wants Devon as champ. And what doesn't make sense is that TNA is potraying A's and 8's as guys that aren't on the roster. Then why are they booked in matches? Why is Devon the TV champ? Anyway, surprisingly the match was interesting. Good job TNA. Wes and Garret (shockingly) didn't look all that bad either. There seemed to be a new random guy with the Aces. I guess D-LO isn't in shape then (he looks like the VP). The end of the match was cool, Garret hit an amazing DDT. Kurt was about to hit DOC until Wes speared him. That shows Wes is possibly part of them as DOC would have suffered a lot more at the hands of Kurt Angle and the hammer. Now the supposed plan was that Wes and Garret turn on Angle and Joe. Now they (probably) didn't do it because the IWC knew it was coming. WHO CARES. Well at this situation anyway. If this was another time then good idea but the problem is the this storyline is getting nowhere. People have been waiting for a reveal for ages now. First this storyline had everyone interested but now it is starting to take the piss. Badly. The good thing is though that they threw on a decent match. Grade C/-B Christopher Daniels vs AJ Styles One final time...AGAIN! No surprise, great match between these 2. It had a bad build up, heck; it was a terrible build-up. BUT, they threw on a great video package before which showed their past matches (at least they were mentioned). It was a great idea to have Daniels win instead of Styles as he has ALWAYS beat Chris. Also because of Daniels' improvement in the recent months. One of the best in the business at the moment he is. Sure these two can't do what they used to but they still stole the show. Now, we have seen that they CAN do SOME high-flying moves now and then, they should have done some here. We saw those DDT's and Daniels' Styles-clash reversal but these two are capable of performing those "X-division" moves they used to once upon a time. Nevertheless, great match. We've seen better from the two but this match still had that "It-Factor". Grade B+/A- Bobby Roode vs Jeff Hardy Speaking of It Factors, we had the "Leader of the Selfish generation" Bobby Roode vs Jeff Hardy. Disappointing match. Not all bad but it wasn't what was expected. It got interesting after Hardy's dive off the Steel-steps onto the Guard-rail (I thought he actually took down a fan for a second). That's when things started to heat up but doesn't that always happen? The match hitting its peak towards the end? Eventually, it got predictable. The matches' pace was slowing down and there was no Aces & Eights. Knowing them, it was obvious they weren't going to show up. The attacked Hardy, Roode hysterically stood up to them and then the Aces opened up a can of whoop ass on him. They destroyed him, almost better than what the Nexus used to do! Grade C+/-B (disappointing for a world title match) In conclusion, a PPV with hardly any story line and the wrestling saved the show from being a total bust. Velvet Sky should have come out, Hulk Hogan should have done something to Bully Ray AND THE ACES AND EIGHTS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REVEALED. A real piss take, it means loses buyers for the NEXT PPV as people will think that the same thing will happen. What is that "thing"? Lack of story development. But great wrestling as always. That's what has made the company a viable alternative to the WWE. Overall grade C+/-B
