Opening segment, Triple H comes out and tells people about how he did what's good for business and introduces Randy Orton. Orton comes out and reminds us that he is the champion and that he beat up Bryan who has a big ego. Bryan comes out, crowd chants "Yes!". Bryan explains he is underdog. Leads another "Yes" chant and commercial.

Some lackluster midcard match

Segment with horrible acting by the Big Show

Recaps and social media promotion

Tag Match

Face gets punished for "speaking out"

....stuff....

Roster stands on stage.

Eventually main event ad show ending with a beat up Daniel Bryan and the charismatic Randy Orton slowly posing for his close-up.

Ok so obviously this week is going to a little differently because of Edge and Goldust. But hasn't anyone else gotten tired of the same formula each week since Summer Slam? I was really excited to see what would happen after Summer Slam but have been disappointed thus far. This seems to be the problem with WWE lately. Each episode is the same as the week before but with some slight changes(often being matches from the previous SmackDown). Then they will throw in a minor plot developer. Essentially they have it to where Raw isn't a must see show anymore. Fans nowadays are more willing to miss Raw and really fast forward through much of it to see their fav superstar and the minor plot developer. Raw used to be must see each week. The stroylines were constantly advancing and evolving. Even the midcard storylines. They would even continue them on Smackdown. Something significant happened on each episode and usually each episode was about something. There would be some backstage story that would develop over the course of the episode between matches and promos. Today these are mostly replaced with recaps and social media/Did You Know. We ofcourse get the segment each show with Maddox/current GM making a match(that we knew would happen anyways). If you missed an episode or two in the past, you'd actually have missed quite a significant amount of events. Today you can watch every other week and still follow.

Does anyone else feel this way? Do you think Raw is something that is no longer a must-see show for fans? Do you feel likemost of the show is predictable and easily missable? Or do you feel that things are the same as before?

Remember the good old days where every show didn't always end with Stone Cold stunning 87 people in the ring?

Raw has been the same old shit since it's inception. The story from the past three weeks has evolved as much as any story in WWE history, you're just not enjoying it.

It's not evolving as much as they used to evolve. Not nearly as fast. Not as many significant events. I didn't say I'm not enjoying it, just that I'm disappointed at the pace they are taking this. Every night didn't end with Austin either in the old days. I never understand why criticisms on the way things are running are always responded to with attitude era hyperbole. Can you honestly tell me that the opening promos from the last 3 Raws weren't the same thing? I mean they could have all been different takes from the same scene. Then the whole thing where every week they have the superstars all stand on the stage. It's repetitive. Yea they are advancing the story, they are setting up for a Daniel Bryan underdog-comeback moment, they are setting up for the big show joining with the corporation, they are setting up for the faces to revolt. I get all that. But the pace is just so slow.

For instance, this story is very similar to the time when the Mcmahons screwed the underdog, corporate makeover, people's favorite Mankind to make the babyface turning heel corporate champion The Rock their corporate champion. The difference is the amount of back and forth Rock and Foley had, the hell they would give each other whether it be interfering with each other's matches, the colorful promos or the back stage antics like Foley stealing from Rock. This was with a one main show per week schedule and still more events occured in the storyline. The Corporation was seen a lot more in backstage segments and they had storylines for the lower members other than "boss said beat up bad guys".

It's the same with the parallel between The Wyatts and Ministry that people have pointed out. Taker would have his promos and his 2 diciples beating people up in the ring just like Bray. But when people got kidnapped, they didn't take this long to return and they would keep the story going without skipping a beat. Kane being kidnapped by The Wyatts is a big deal, but how much TV time does Wyatt get? I was looking forward to his segment all night when he cut his "Sister Abigail" promo, but I missed it while running to the kitchen for a sandwich lol.

Wow. One month and people are already starting to piss and moan about the status quo. It's gotta be a record.

It's not specifically about this one angle. It's about the pace WWE has been going for years now. Stop looking for only what you want to read.

I read it. And it still reeks of impatience insufferance.

Daniel Bryan is the Number 1 Contender to the WWE Title and in the main event.
CM Punk has a great story going on right now.
John Cena is on the shelf
Randy Orton has turned Heel
Cody Rhodes is relevent
Amazing matches are being put on each week
