Raven's obviously good on the mic, but I'm not really sure TNA want to be going down that road. I suppose if Foley is going to leave the ring for good then they need more hardcore guys, but honestly, I think the aging hardcore pro thing is something they need to steer clear from, it doesn't really smack of big time wrestling, which is what they want. That being said, there's no harm in a little variation on the card, and he can certainly provide that. In order to be effective, Raven has always needed lackeys, I can't really think of a time when anyone has given a shit about him without them. The obvious choices are Daffney and Richards, but would you care about them? Honestly? I don't think I would. Have him get inside someone's head, and then take it from there. Feuding him, or aligning him, with Matt Morgan may give Morgan an ounce of personality.
Whatever he does, Raven's role should primarily be to elevate boring wrestlers and not to engage in long drawn out one on one feuds himself, as his ring work no longer justifies it.

He's back! As a die-hard ECW fan, this is great fucking news. He looks to be in great shape, and seeing him work with Stevie again should be excellent, especially if they're feuding with Abyss and Foley.
This man innovated a lot of what ECW was, and came up with many of the more "twisted" gimmick matches in TNA. This is truly a match made in heaven for me.

I just hope that he doesn't end up like Stevie. By that, I mean that Stevie seems to be stuck with Abyss and Foley, which is okay but I can't see what they do with him after that. Raven can be great and feud with many guys, but I just hope that him and Stevie don't get stuck feuding with Foley and Abyss for a couple months before being forgotten for a couple more years.

Raven, Daffney, and Stevie is a great stable. They all are great workers, and are epic talkers. Feuding with Abyss and Foley to start is a good thing.
Raven looks heavier, which means that he's "clean", and that was the demon holding him back throughout his career. I'm stoked to see where this goes, and what they have planned.

NSL, you remember when they brought Jake the Snake back to the WWE in 1996? In hindsight, I'd like to believe he's beaten his demons, and yet we saw how that worked out. Whether or not we'd like to admit it, once the demon's in you, it's always going to stay in you. There's just no other way around it. As smart as Raven is, and as epic as his promos are, I just see him as a manager at this point. Again, I've said I'd like to see him paired with the Machine Guns, to bring out an edgier side to them. But as for this belief that he can beat his demons, I disagree. Professional wrestlers fighting their demons usually don't have a great track record. See: Jake Roberts. See: Scott Hall. And soon enough, See: Scott Levy.

I expected the feud with Raven and Stevie taking on Foley and Abyss would be hardcore, but I didn't think it would go to this length. I like it, but it's unexpected nonetheless.
Raven and Stevie hung up both Foley and Abyss this week, all while taunting them. This feud is given brand new legs, and should be one of the more interesting ones heading into the new year.
