My problem is not with Rey being physically challenged compared to Batista, my problem is the blah storyline. Not too long ago Eddie turned on Rey and we heard the same old thing from Rey. "Why Eddie Why"? .. Is that the only way to turn people heel anymore? Have them turn on a friend. I mean jesus back when Michaels did it to Jannetty it wasn't as often used as it is today. The fued has no appeal to me. Batista turning heel on the other hand, does. I just wish they'd have gone a different direction with it. Rey is really going to have to carry this match because Batista just doesn't have that IT factor.

Anyways I think this match has the potential to be a great match, but I have feeling the Rey coming back on him in the middle of the match is going to occur, and that will look unrealistic cuz batista is big compared to Rey. |

Batista and Rey should be capitans. This match is happening way too soon. Although I did enjoy the in-ring segment on the last Smackdown between Rey and Batista, I don't this match is going to be anything special. Either Rey is going to get a few suprise shots in every now and then, or Batista is going to beat the crap out of him for 10 minutes. Either way, I don't feel too excited about this match.

Most likely Batista will win in a clean 15-20 minute bout. WWE will book batista to win simply because they wantto keep the steam rollin on his fresh heel turn.

actually what seems to be happening is that Matt Hardy since he was beaten up by Batista last friday on smackdown, is going to go against Batista tomorrow on smackdown. There may be Batista/Escobar VS Hardy/Mysterio match in the making for survivor series possibly the formation of a team vs team match for smackdown.

Well, Batista needs to make an statement here, either by winning or by beating the crap out of Mysterio so bad to be Dqed (I like Rey a lot but he does not need the statement here, unless they want to push Rey to the moon and waste the great turn of Batista).
Well at least is a match to be looking forward too since I would like to see if it is a squash or an even match. I thinks is most likely the first option. |

I think it should've been a Team Rey vs Team Batista type match, I mean after all it is SS. Seems kind of early to have the actual grudge match, cause I really don't know where they can take this feud. They basically have to book Batista to win or he'll lose his credibility as a heel. I hate watching Batista wrestle, it just makes me want to bang my head against the wall.

This is the way I see it going down, singles fight at SS leads to Batista getting DQ'd for destroying Rey, but he comes back and challenges again for a street fight at TLC, that be good to see rey in a hardcore situation for a change!
Ideally i'd like to see the ultimate grudge match at 'mania but if a singles match has already been done and he cheated they aren't likely to step backwards so it will probably be short fued. Yeah that's the whole point! Rey IS the ultimate underdog and i like the fact it seems like an impossible task and rey will probably get that lucky win but never a clean one, but then its likely neither will dave, now being heel he will cheat most the time probably. |

Pretty much agree that these 2 should've been captains instead, that would've made more sense here, however, I understand why they didn't do it. There are already a bunch of team matches, so there is really not enough decent people to fill out a 5 on 5 between these 2. As a singles match, this should be decent. There hasn't been much build and Rey isn't great against big guys (Kane), but these are two experienced and talented guys in there that should be able to give us at least a passable match. I think Batista is going to win here, but who the hell really know? We don't have much to go off of in predicting this one.
