I hate that Bourne is where he is. He's the most talented wrestler in the WWE, and a FAR better wrestler than the Miz (I don't care what anyone says, Bourne carried that match last night). All he needs is some more time with Mic skills.
They need to move Bourne to Smackdown. Have him learn from 'Taker and Edge. Anyway, I wasn't suprised that Miz won. I wanted Bourne to win BUT it would be stupid to take the title from him this soon, especially since they'd have Bourne drop it almost immediately to Swagger or something. |

The miz should win because he need a good long creditable title reign so that maybe one day he will be in the main event or possibly winning the money in the bank if he ever gets in it.
Miz is having a pretty decent title regin right now its bringing back some credibility with his feud with Jack swagger. I was thinking Swagger was going to cost Miz the title but he didn't.

I see a feud very similar to this brewing, with the noted exception that Eve has absolutely no interest in either of these men. And quite frankly, I think that's going to make for entertaining television. I think it's going to be funny to watch these cocky heels foolishly fight for the heart of a Diva, not even realizing that neither of these men stand a chance in Hell. Granted, Eve isn't the greatest actor you'll ever find, but I'm sure that The Miz can carry both of these men into entertaining television. People seem to be knocking Swagger's charisma, and I'm not totally sure why. He's very underrated for his ability to draw heat, and while his mic skills leave a bit to be desired, it's not like the guy's completely inept on the mic. I can see this being drawn out to Royal Rumble time, where one of these men get the fall, only to realize the woman they've been fighting months over has left with another man. Again, this is the type of feud that's right up The Miz' ally.

If Bourne were to be moved, it should be back to ECW. Let him build up credibility there, win the championship (which was rumored to happen at one point), and then be brought over. The right person won that match last night. Hopefully one day Bourne will be on par with where Mysterio is, but he's not there yet.

It's way too soon for The Miz to drop the title to anyone, much less Evan Bourne. Nothing against him and all, Evan is a great wrestler and looked great last night, but he isn't ready for a title reign just yet. He's over with the fans but Miz needs a decent title reign to a credible champion.

I just wanted WWE to prove that The Miz was the right person to take the U.S. Championship off of Kofi Kingston. In the 4 weeks, he's been champ, I'd say his reign has been mediocre at best. By 4 weeks, I believe Kofi was ready to have his 4th title defense.
However, I agree that The Miz should have walked away with the gold on Raw. Evan Bourne was great on ECW, but since coming to Raw, he's only been involved in losses and "fluke" wins that would result in a later loss. He'd be the wrong person to hold the title right now. I believe that The Miz is in for a relatively long title reign, with not many defense, unfortunately. The Miz needs to show that he can succeed as a single's champion, if he wants to go anywhere in the WWE.

The whole episode is actually very good booking. Bourne has lost nigh on every single match since he has been on Raw, but one fluke count out win and all of a sudden he is looking credible as a midcard champion. Booking him so strongly in the match with Miz seriously helped his course too. The whole thing was perfect, Miz defended the title against a realistic challenger who came out of the whole thing looking better too.
Miz should have won the match, and he should retain in his programme with Swagger, dropping the title only when he starts getting stale or ready to be moved up.
