To those who don't remember, getting LT involved in WrestleMania was (in my opinion) one of Vinces better moves. You can question whether BamBam was a good opponent or not (probably not in my opinion) but WM 11 was going to be the weakest WM card of all-time and he found a way to get the WWF on SportsCenter for a month straight with the LT storyline. Even though this very unconventional match main-evented WM and isn't popular with traditional wrestling fans, it still showed that Vince is a great promoter and saved a show that really had no hope (and to this day WM11 has probably gotten more main stream media hype than any other WM since III). With all that being said, I believe this match (which was a dud) would have been WAY over had it taken place at MSG and at WM X instead of 11. Of course, Vince already had Bret-Yoko to sell WM X but if he would have used the LT storyline at WM X, it would have made more sense. For one, you have him competing in his hometown (playing career) and you could basically have made him play the role like Mr.T did at the first Mania and give the 10th Anniversary that celebrity, star/athlete feel of the show. Had this angle had occurred at WM X it probably wouldn't have closed the show , considering Bret was way more over in 94 than Diesel was in 95. I ramble and digress, but what say ye on this subject?

Just like the title says, was Lita overlooked because of Trish Stratus? I take nothing away from Trish whatsoever. She is one of the top divas ever by WWE standards. I was always a Lita guy though. I liked Trish, but there was just something about Lita that I can't exactly put my finger on. Trish was the poster girl for the division during her run and I'm not saying Lita should have replaced her, but has Lita's run as a wrestler and a valet for Edge and the Hardys been vastly overlooked for how good and "over" she was. Was Lita actually better than Trish at her peak?

Was Lita just a very good talent in a pretty good division at the time, or was she overshadowed by Trish because of the powers that be pushed her to the moon which has diminished Lita's impact and legacy of her career for women's wrestling?

I have been reading a lot of threads on here recently and a lot of them have mention former WWE talent Hakushi. A lot of you talked very positively about him and after going back and watching some of his matches I started to think to my self that WWE really dropped the ball with this guy and if given the chance the guy could have been a very good WWE champion or at the least a solid main eventer. The guy was only in his late 20's when he made his debut for the company and his unique look and wrestling style made him stand out from everyone else on the roster. His feud with bret Hart showed that the guy had potential to be one of the top guys in the company and I believe he could have gone on to have some great feuds with the likes of the Undertaker and HBK. This is only my opinion, But I would like to know what all of you think about Hakushi and if you think he could have gone on to do great things in WWE.

Every time I see a thread with a debate involving Shawn Michaels, I see people saying that Michaels didn't draw. I see fan attendance numbers, tv ratings, merchandise sales and a whole lot of other numbers. People say he didnt draw as much as Austin, Rock, Hogan, Cena. My problem with this is that HBK was a first time Champ going head to head with the greatest faction of all time. I'm sorry but if you believe that anyone could have out drawn the NWO, than you are an idiot. The NWO was an unstopable force during Michaels entire run. Nobody has ever had to go head to head with a bigger force than HBK. When Austin took over, the NWO hype was two years old and calming down and by the time The Rock took over, WCW was a joke. Cena has absoultely no competition. To say HBK couldn't draw is completely unfair. If there was no HBK and no DX than we might be watching Nitro every week instead of Raw

This a loaded question for many as many are fond of the legacy of Owen Hart. Some will say Owen only has an inflated legacy because of his tragic death. Let's speculate here - what if Owen doesn't have that tragic accident? What if he goes on to continue whatever feud he was in and proceeds in his career?

Was he destined to be a future WWE champion? Would he have only made it to the mid-card? Does he make the Attitude Era that much better?

What could have been with Owen Hart? Could he have surpassed Bret Hart's legacy?

Droz: The former WWF superstar who's career was cut short due to him getting paralized in a match with D'Lo Brown after a powerbomb gone wrong. Now Droz is living his life in a wheelchair and hasn't been heard from in the wrestling world since 2002 when he had his own segment on WWE.com.

We saw the push that was "Puke" on the documentery "Beyond the Mat" in 1998-99 when Droz aka Puke entered WWF offices in Stamford, Connecticut to meet with chairman Vince McMahon. Soon after that they paired Puke up with the Road Warriors Hawk & Animal and later dropped the Puke moniker and just went by Droz after parting ways with the Road Warriors faction. And later Droz put on Prince Albert aka Sweet T as his new protege and friend. Soon after a few months with Albert, that when the accident happened at a WWF live event.

But what if that incident never happened to Droz? Where would he have been if his career in the WWF/E would have went on longer? What could have been of the WWF/E career of Droz? A future WWF/E champion??

However, I never really hear that much about him today. what he's been up to, or anything like that. Now i never really watched WCW much but seem to remember somewhat of his program with Sting. I believe this was closer to the end of WCW so knowing this wasnt exactly a great time for WCW, and the knowledge that most crossover music/wrestling storylines are never any good, i am lead to suspect most people werent crazy about vampiro. On the contrary, i never hear anything bad said about the guy either. So I don't know. what are everyone's thought on Vampiro? was he considered a success in WCW? or was this just another piece of WrestleCrap for the dying days of WCW?

It's been a long time since I posted one of these, but I decided to get back into it. The idea is simple. Who do you think is Triple H's greatest rival? IMO In his entire career, there has always been one man who was compared to HHH, and this man was Shawn Michaels.

Whether they were in the Kliq, DX, or even standing toe to toe against each other in the ring, we always asked the question, who was better? Hunter or Shawn? I believe that the greatest rival to Triple H was indeed Shawn Michaels. But what do you think?

Event: Monday Night Raw
Date: March 25, 2002
Big Event: First ever WWF Draft.

Hidden Gem: Triple H defends the Undisputed Championship against "Y2J" Chris Jericho and the Billion Dollar Princess Stephanie McMahon.

Now obviously, Triple H won the match and retained the champonship... but what would have become of the WWF Undisputed Championship had she won the title? Sure, there are those saying that it wouldn't have made much sense considering she'd be a woman holding a male title, but wouldn't that be what would've made it work? Wouldn't having her with even a quick two week reign before HHH regained it in a rematch have helped the WWF get more fans and open more possibilities? Furthermore, what would that make of today's wrestling world? Would we see more Kharma type women wrestlers inserted into the men's division?

What do you think?

Most people probably won't remember Tony Halme a.k.a Ludvig Borga (R.I.P) as he was only around for about a year in the WWF in the early-mid 90's. He was equipped with a pretty crappy gimmick of that of an anti-american foreigner who hated America because of it's educational system and..pollution? Ok...Anyways he didnt do much of anything to note other than end Tatanka's undefeated streak of 2 years, squash a bunch of jobbers, and entered a pretty crappy feud with Lex Luger. He then got injured and that was pretty much the end for him. I think he stayed around the indy's for a little while after that, and then joined MMA, and after that held a place in Finnish parliament. Sadly he commited suicide in 2010 due to what was conceived as alcohol/drug issues.
Now for those of you who do remember, what did you think of the man known as Ludvig Borga? To be fair it appeared the WWF didn't give him much to work with as Lex Luger was never really in the business of making anyone look good. However I think Borga had a pretty good look and could have possibly been interesting in the approaching Attitude Era. I heard reports of him being difficult to work with and somewhat of a bully backstage so this probably didnt help his cause.
I don't know if anyone else really seen his appeal as the big men in wrestling are a dime a dozen, but maybe given a fair chance he could of amounted to a little bit of success. Im not saying he would have had an amazing career to the extent of Stone Cold or The Rock or anything but who knows really how he would have panned out had he been around a few more years?
Thoughts?

As a long time fan of old school wrestling, I still hate having to accept the reality that Randy Savage is no longer with us. While he was reclusive in the final years of his life. It appeared that things were starting to change the year he passed away. His confirmation via a pretaped announcement at the San Diego Comic Con regarding his participation in Mattel's WWE toyline was a positive sign of things in regard to a WWE reconciliation as well as his involvement in being available in games like WWE All Stars.

Regardless of what the truth is regarding his fallout with Vince, and why he isn't in the hall of fame, I'll leave that solely to speculation. I instead opt to pass along this fine article written by Keith Elliot Greenberg a staple of the WWF Magazine as many fans of my generation will remember. There is some stuff we've already heard but it's always great to read something about Macho Man. May the legacy of the "Madness" continue to madden all of us fans!! In the meantime let's chime in our thoughts and share our memories of one of wrestling's greatest.

Hey everybody, most of you know that the Great American Bash 91 is considered one of the worst pay per views of all time. Most of it had to do with Ric Flair leaving. So with Flair gone and Scott Steiner injured, how do you save this card? Even before Flair left, I didn't like some of the booking so I've revamped the card. After Flair leaves the first thing I do is try and book the world title bout as best as I can. I announce that on a special TV special there will be a 30 man battle royal with the winner facing Luger at the Bash for the vacated title. I book Arn Anderson to win it. Arn and Lex had a lot of history so there wouldn't have to be a lot of build up. Arn was also Flair's enforcer for years so that adds to the story. Here's how my final card would of looked.

Lex Luger vs Arn Anderson- World Title Cage Bout
Rick Steiner vs Barry Windham- Bunkhouse Rules
Sting vs Nikita Koloff- No DQ
Steve Austin vs Bobby Eaton- TV Title Bout
Richard Morton/Terrance Taylor vs Robert Gibson/Z-Man
Ron Simmons vs Dan Spivey
Fly'n Brian vs Larry Zybysko
Tommy Rich/Big Josh vs Black Blood/One Man Gang
Vader vs Junkyard Dog
Freebirds/Diamond Studd vs Southern Boys/Dustin Rhodes

I think this would of been a hard hitting card. I would love to read other ideas.

Im just rewatching Taker and Punk from this years wrestlemania, and since by now most if not everyone has already seen this match... so my question is simple....

When you rank it or compare this match against the HBK matches from 25 and 26, and the HHH matches from 27 and 28, arguably the Streak´s best matches, how does it rank? is it above those matches, is it just as good? are those 4 matches better? maybe you like punk taker over the hhh matches or you like them better than the hbk matches....

So how would you rank those matches among the 21 wm matches especifically the last 4 matchesbefore it?

Discuss......

Shawn Michaels could have returned by 1999

I know during my time here I have vehemently denied this each time someone posts about it or asks about if Shawn Michaels could have returned before...

I know during my time here I have vehemently denied this each time someone posts about it or asks about if Shawn Michaels could have returned before he did in 2002, but after having some suspicions the last few months, thinking about it, reading some articles from 1998-2001, it finally dawned on me yesterday after reading this new interview with Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin on Steve's podcast, where they talked about WrestleMania 14.

I'd first like to point out that in no way do I believe that Shawn's injury was not as legit as they made it out to be. It was a legit career threatening injury, but the truth was it was never "career-ending" nor did Michaels ever "risk life" by stepping in the ring again. I will say that I feel strongly that HBK's drug use and lifestyle is what kept him out as well as his ego, as he had legit head with The Rock and by his own admission was not comfortable being 2nd fiddle to Stone Cold. Had he accepted a part-time role at this point in time, Vince would have gladly let him back.

Listening to that interview from just a few days ago, the biggest issue HBK had, by his own admission, was not his back pain, but rather he knew how big the angle was with Mike Tyson and all that and how hot the business had gotten, and he knew he wasn't going to be a part of it. Now he knew that he would require surgery, and was going to miss some time, but the biggest thing that bothered him was he wasn't on top of the mountain anymore.

Shawn is for sure a changed man, no one can deny it, but I think it is very candid that HBK never mentions how he had to come to grips with him never being able to wrestle again. His biggest complaint was that they put a shirt on top of his head after the match was over. It seems like i'm splitting hairs here, but lots of guys in the business go on about their injuries and how bad the are, but HBK here barely mentions it. He does say they had that guy Francois (who worked with Mick Foley's back) working him every day, but he doesn't really go on about it. What he does go on about his the "things he was on" and how bad that gotten. So here is my thoughts from compiling lots of research over the past few months and doing lots of reading:

January 1998 - Suffers back injury to L4/LF vertebrae, injury is potentially career- threatening. Michaels vigorously does physical therapy and chiropractic sessions to get him to WM14.

March 1998 - Wrestles on blown back, passes the torch to Stone Cold. This is well known.

July 1998 - HBK returns to WWF as a color commentator. he is still big and buff. reports have him trying new therapy methods, desperately trying to avoid surgery. He is made WWF Commissioner later that fall, that articles from this time period say is done to get him fresh in the Fan's minds again, and to also gauge where he is at in terms of getting back in the ring.

January 1999 - Physical therapy has failed and Michaels resorts to surgery to end the pain. It is successful. Shawn officially announces his retirement from wrestling

April 2000 - Shawn Michaels wrestles one match against Paul Diamond in TWA. Not a 5 star classic but a good basic match. Michaels says on his official column on TWA that it is inevitable he will wrestle again for WWE, to "never say never". Michaels says officially this match was to see where he was at and to see if it was possible to resume active wrestling.

2000 - Shawn Michaels is featured in WWF magazine, calling him the comeback kid, and he gives a long interview about why he is coming back, how it will be different this time around. Michaels mentions he hopes to wrestle two to three more years if his body holds up. Michaels is very heavy into drugs and painkillers at this point in his life.

2001 - Shawn is supposed to be part of WrestleMania X7, where he was to return to the ring, but for unknown reasons, most likely his drug problems, he was sent home from TV. All articles I've found say that had this not happened, HBK would have been back in the WWF as a wrestler, he was physically in shape but not well due to drugs. Not long after this, Shawn Michaels and Triple H have the famous fall-out, and Shawn is basically "fired" from the WWE. The rest after this point is history.

Just imagine the WWF with HBK, the Rock, Stone Cold, and Triple H when they were all in their primes....gives me chills

Shawn Michaels was in the WWE for more than 2 decades, won every single title there is to win, was the wwe champion 3 times, 1 time world heavyweight champion, brought us the ladder match, hell in a cell, the elimination chamber, the iron man match among other... Had match of the year in at least 8 occasions, had a successful comeback after being out of action for 4 years and didnt lose a step. He's had major feuds and matches with marty jannety, razor ramon, diesel, bret hart, triple h, vince mcmahon, stone cold, the undertaker, etc. He is mr wrestlemania and is called the best of all times both from a ring, mic and overall entertainment aspect.

On the other side you have the rock, he was in the on a regular basis from 96 till 01 and he took the wrestling world by storm, had succesful comebacks in 02, 03 and 04 .... And had a 2 year run from 11 till 13 on a part time schedule. This man has won the wwe, wcw titles on multiple occasions, main evented wrestlemania 15,16,17,28,29 had amazing feuds and matches with stone cold, mick foley, triple h, kurt angle, hulk hogan, booker t, cm punk , john cena among others. He is the most famous wrestler turned actor of all times and his skills on the mic re second to none

This isnt about hollywood or who do you like more...,. This is about whos place in the wwe and its legacy is bigger?... Discuss!
