Okay guys, I'm still learning GIMP, but this is what I've made so far.

This is my first attempt, using Kevin Steen as my rep from the e-fed here at Wrestlezone. WZCW's really cool, by the way, I urge you guys to check it out and join.
Grizzly Bob, take 1

Click for Spoiler:

I used a standard GIMP pattern fill for the background and there's not much to it.

Still with Grizzly Bob, I cut a bear render, posterized it a bit and put it as a background. The green background is a green and brown gradient fill that I clothified.
Grizzly Bob, take 2

Click for Spoiler:

As with the previous one, I smudged his logo off his shirt and replaced it with a green version of this bear graphic that I loved. I used the same graphic and changed its perspective a bit for the arm tattoo.

Now, this next one I'm proud of. I joined another e-fed today and I'm using Leo Kruger as my character rep.

Leo Kruger rep, take 1

Click for Spoiler:

I used the GIMP thread in this section (the Spiderman one) for the background, then I overlayed Kruger's face with low opaqueness as part of the background. I had a lot of difficulty in cutting the Kruger layer in the foreground, because his arms are well lit and the background I got it from was light as well. I did the border after I did the text (which I left out - advertising), but it's the same as the first two.

I've been working on a series of University-themed wrestling signatures, featuring various pro wrestlers and the states/cities they represent. For instance, TNA's Chris Sabin and Michigan University.

These are very simple sigs. The render is from PSD-Dreams, and I went to the university website to get the exact colors used. The font is "Poplar Std" and the minor background effect is a vector brush, and I can't remember where I got them.

I'm happy to make more if anybody is interested.

WWE Payback Poster Competition

WWE Payback is live on pay-per-view June 16th, from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL. I will be there live and in person, as I make my glorious return to my home state for the event. But in an attempt to spice things up around this ghost town of a section, I'm organizing a competition with AN ACTUAL PRIZE!

Here are the "rules" -

1) Submit your "poster" by Saturday, June 15th.

2) You get ONE submission. That's it. You can post more than one, for fun, but you must designate which design is up for competition.

3) Submissions can be in any size, from a small postcard, to the larger "poster" concepts.

4) Any Superstars, themes or ideas are totally up to you, so long as you can obviously tell that it's centered around the upcoming WWE Payback event.

5) Winner will be decided by myself and receive a $10 WWE Shop gift card. I know it's not much, but it's kinda fun, right?

6) Anybody can submit, but only those in the US are eligible to win. It's just simply not worth it to pay WWE's crazy fees for international shipping. Sorry...

REMEMBER, this is still a non-spam section. I know you might have forgotten, since it's empty 99% of the time, but your posts still need a reason for existing. What did you make? Why did you make it? How did you go about doing the work? It doesn't have to be a novel, but enough to constitute a non-spam post.

Here's a few concepts I've been working on, just to get the creative juices flowing:

Click for Spoiler:

Because apparently this is one of those twatty things that I do, so you will be GRATEFUL AND LOOK AT THEM. LOOK. AT. THEM.

I made these two for my two most anticipated movies this year, which probably isn't a coincidence.

First up, the one which JGlass and pals have already had the pleasure of viewing, the Pacific Rim one I made:

I made another Pacific Rim one but I don't like it any more. I've gone off it.

And the latest one, which I quite like, for The World's End:

And here's one for the easily offended:

Nobody could possibly fill in the blanks in "CU__S," could they?
