Last week on RAW, Shawn Michaels's was at the end of an attack by Spirit Squad to set up an angle that will leave Michael’s out of WWE television until the June 25 Vengeance pay-per-view. Sean underwent an MRI on Tuesday in San Antonio to determine the severity of a knee injury which has been bothering him for a while now. Surgery would be for a minor clean up of loose cartilage in the knee and it would only require an arthroscopic operation. Recovery from knee arthroscopy is generally much faster than recovery from traditional open knee surgery.

The injury angle is not expected to affect the DX Reunion between HBK and Triple H, reports The Pro Wrestling Torch. The angle could play out as soon as Monday night on RAW, or even as late as the actual pay-per-view in 4 weeks time.

The DX reunion angle isn’t expected to last long, and has been considered short term lasting through the summer. No additional wrestlers are expected to be part of the angle.

I don't really see how a DX reunion can last much longer than a couple of months. They should have saved this for Wrestlemania next year as a "One night Only" thing to drive up the buy rates a bit.

as we all know, dx is reuniting within the next few weeks, likely at vengeance. shawn has publicly stated since returning a few years back that he is a 'born-again' christian and we have seen that in his character...i don't think i've heard him swear once since returning. do u guys think he will lighten up on his beliefs a bit for the sake of entertainment, or do u think he will still be pounding his bible when he comes out on with the new DX. personally, i hope we see the old shawn. DX has always been remembered as an anti-authority group who did and said what they wanted, when they wanted . bringing them back as a 'watered down' version would tarnish their legacy and could make the DX reunion a failure..however, i do respect the fact that shawn is a family man now, and has changed his ways and cleaned up his life. what do u guys think?

I'm a Christian and I believe that if Shawn doesn't come back the old way than that is fine. I do not think that the New Shawn has to go back to the old Shawn. He changed for a reason and there is no reason going back to the way he was. Just because you think those words are funny doesn't mean that he has to say those or do those things. i agree about him going with the God storyline and wat Mr. McMahon said and did in church. So i agree if he was fine with that, i cant imagine wat's gonna happen with D-X. Shawn did also state in the post Wrestlemania interview that it felt good doing wat he did and being bad and he might just stay with that style. he seems more comfortable with doing the D-X crotch chop as he wasnt when HBK and HHH "reunited" in the past and HHH turned his back on HBK. if you look closely you'll see that Shawn isnt even close to doing the crotch chop and now he's being doing it since Wrestlemania 22. In my opinion I think Mr. McMahon knows that D-X was HUGE in the past. so 1 of 2 things could possible happen.

1. Since Mr. McMahon knows the fans want D-X back, he'll keep them happy by trying to have HBK and HHH be as funny as they were when they were the old D-X and pull their antics.

2. Mr. McMahon feeds off fans knowing they want D-X back and he'll have them more laid back, and he'll just BELIEVE that the fans will be happy just being back and not being their old selves.

That will not fit too well with the fans so wat i think will happen, is if the fans see HBK and HHH arent wat they were in the past, the fans just might end up booing them week in and week out until Mr. McMahon pulls the plug on them, or he livens them up like they were in the past.

first of all you have to seperate Micheal Hickenbottom from Sean Micheals. They are two entirely different personas. Sean Micheals the character isn't a born again christian, Micheal Hickenbottom is. Wrestling fans from all over want the old and very entertaining Sean Micheals who founded dx and said these lewd things. A paper dx would only disappoint the fans and reduce the ratings, if that is what we will see then let dx rest in peace. If Hickenbottom wants to be a christian then he should disassociate himself with the wwe; since this is one of the most controversial organisations of today,he can't say that he is a christian in one breath and then work for a promoter who mocks God. Hickenbottom should either get with God or get with the programme.

DX- DX was never like outsiders looking in, they were 3 people (HHH, HBK, Chyna) that where not going to play by the rules anymore. There motto (other than Suck it haha) was "You make the rules, and we will break em".

DX was more like, I don't have to follow rules, and nWo was like we are going to run this place. The only thing WWE did to copy them was make a gang like group, but wont NOD before nWo?

I personally find it pointless to bring back DX when it's only going to be short-term. I mean, what are they gonna do to make the DX split up again? Triple H pedigreeing HBK? That's been done before. DX has been done before. Remember the resurrection of the nWo within the WWE? That didn't go anywhere. Instead, it made Scott Hall and Kevin Nash look like wimps in the end who constantly lost matches.

All I want to see is HBK hold the World Heavyweight title one more time for at least three months instead of one.

I don't think Shawn Michaels needs to start blurting out profanity and doing obscene gestures to be funny or be entertaining. To be honest, HBK's in-ring ability now isn't anywhere close to the old HBK. The same can be said about his wrestling character. The past is the past. How many times have long-gone gimmicks been successful in the WWE in our current days? They tried to bring back all the superstars from the glory days, but that was only suited at their time. It's all been done before, so we want the new. DX isn't new. That's how I feel at least.

And about separating the Shawn Michaels character from the personal life of Michael Hickenbottom? That doesn't make a lot of sense since Shawn Michaels the character has been portrayed as a born-again Christian too. Why else would Vince McMahon side "God" with Shawn Michaels?

Ive been an HBK fan since he and Jannetty were the Rockers...and when he and Triple H joned to make DX it was exciting becasue HBK has always been a better heel...he is more ****y then ever and thats what makes his character shine even more...his mic skills are off the hook and his in ring ability is by far one of the best...

Now,Now,Now. It was great to see the reunion of DX, i was so excited when shawn came out I wasn't paying attention to JR and "The queen", but when I saw the replay, It did look like shit. Was it me or did shawn look like a woman tonight? His run into the ring, The girlie punches he through, down to that shirt that looked like a halter-top. I expected to atleast see a crotch shot from Shawn and Trips before the announcers even mentioned DX. It was cool to hear the fans chant D-X during the match when HHH did the chop, and HBK when HHH was getting beat up, You knew Shawn was coming out.

I really hope WWE doesn't bring back the Outlawz,Xpac, or Chyna. I was never a fan of the Outlaws except when they were in DX, and they're weak in TNA as the James gang. I was a fan of X-pacs until I heard he was on all types of drugs, the chyna sex tape came out(Ugh!) and I seen him on the Surreal Life all Drunk and Shit. Chyna used to be a great wrestler, but I heard she lost a shitload of muscle and weight. If DX recruites anybody, I hope it's new members.

Plus, i have been a big DX fan from the start. I would definately not say that DX was a replica of the nWo. DX was it's own entity and it would have been awesome if the WWE'S nWo became DX given the members that were part of it in 2002. The main reason the nWo failed was because the three original members were established in WCW, you can't mix and match to see if something that was successful in a cartain time, with one company and assume that it'll be the same in a different one, because if WCW was around today and they brought in the old members of DX (Road Dogg, X-Pac, Chyna and Billy Gunn) it was bomb. You have to stick with what your own company established, that is why DX is going to be a big hit, i have waited for this since werstlemania 22, and i think it will never die. If you ain't down with it, you can just go SUCK IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

one thing that will hurt the return of DX is that having them feud with the spirit squad is stupid. i dont care if it is 5 on 2 shawn and HHH are two of the most elite wrestlers in the WWE they need to feud with wrestlers on their level. I was watching the tna from last week (on tivo, sorry trying to catch up) I couldnt help but see both Billy Gun and Road Dogg doing DX chops to Kevin Nash. They could have been just a reaction but maybe they still want to be apart of the reuion of DX. I also couldnt understand that DX reunited on raw monday when they still have a raw before vengence. Vengence is suposed to be when they reunite so maybe thats when the other older members come back to even the match to make it a 5 on 5. (Road Dogg, Billy Gun, X-pac, HHH, and HBK vs. The Spirit Squad) Just thinking.

Personly I think this is a very intresting time in the world of wrestling you got WWE bringing back ECW and DX all in the same month (My wet dreams have come true) Last time I checked TNA had quite a few ECW guys, Who I saw at ONS so it is not out of the realm of possibilty to see the return of the New Age Outlaws. (aren't Rodd Doggs and Billy Gunns contracts up?) As for Chyna she has gone Bat Sh%$ Crazy, and X-Pac is a druggy.

Also I keep hearing that DX will only be around for a short while. Judgeing from the reaction from the crowd on RAW the past few weeks, and how WWE.com is pushing the hell out of DX I would not be suprised to see them around for a while. Like people have said this is a great way to give less popular superstars a push I.E. Nitro and Hass. dx was the "answer" to the nwo- not a rip off. it had its own identity, its own way of doing things. they werent out to take over the way nwo did- though shawn was out to prove that he was the icon in much the same light as hogan was out to show how great he was... but they were different factions, with dx being much funnier, more akin to wise cracking jerks from college who just naturally created chaos and nwo being the older, take-themselves-too-serious types who wanted world domination.

at any rate, the only 2 guys who would have worked on a dx reunion convincingly enough in terms of the look, had the mic AND ring skills to match hunter and shawn, and had teh attitude to compliment the big 2, was edge and christian... and its a bit too late for that, but had that happened at the cusp of hbk's return, a year long run of that would have been awesome...

D-X does not need to add NAO, X-Pac, or Chyna. They had there moments but honestly I was so pissed off at first when HBK left the group and they added NAO and X-Pac. I would prefer they just kept it the original two members. It might add some entertainment if they had a tough ass chick like Victoria as a valet but I'd rather see this group just stay together. If you want to add someone, I would prefer it be two new guys. This is the more logical situation as NAO are of course under contract, as was X-Pac with Wrestling Society X. Of course I'm not sure if that's still the case.

If you want to add anyone to the group, I say add the World's Greatest Tag Team in Haas and Benjamin. I think it would be entertaining and let Benjamin build his career with fans as well as give Haas a second chance to make a name for himself. Personally, I think the sketch that they did on Raw this was "sports entertainment" at its best. I've always been a fan of impersonations, and Michaels skipping around like Shane O'Mac had me on the floor. Triple H did a killer Vinnie Mac, too. And digging up those clips of Vinnie performing "Stand Back"? Priceless.

I agree. I like the way they play on it to(like blindfolding him when the strippers..sorry cheerleaders came out). It's working well but sadly it can't last long it would soon get old.It won't be down to ethier Triple H's or HBK's performances though.:wwf:

As many people have already posted, I believe Carlito would make a great addition to the new D-X. He has a great on screen persona, and he could put of awesome vignettes with his gimmick remeber Carlito Canadian Cool? "Dats Cool eh?". A personal favorite I came up with for a tag line for him or shirt, is on the front have the D-X "Suck it" and on the back "Do you spit or swallow" I think it'll equal gold. Another member that i think would fit in the new D-X but is highly unlikely is John Cena. If it not being for his feud with Edge, and Triple H eventually getting the belt he could make a good member.

They're well aware that it has to be done right or the whole group's history could be tarnished by continuously bathing in its past glories.

You made some really good points. And I agree with the Ken Kennedy comment - I never thought of that. Although I think Nitro would be a better fit, and more likely.
