Of course it's early, but close enough to speculate, in my opinion. Here is a rough prediction of the matches I see being booked for Wrestlemania.
WWE Title:
Cena vs. Orton.
Possibly happening via Orton repeating in the rumble. Yes, the iron man match was supposed to be this feud's finale; however, if this rivalry is as great as they want it to be, a Wrestlemania collision is likely. I would predict Orton winning, too.
Hvywt Title:
Batista vs. Mysterio
Yeah, I'm going out on a limb and saying that Batista will win the title from the Undertaker at some point, and Rey will possibly win the rumble, carrying this feud into mania main event status. I would predict a Mysterio victory, making it all somewhat worthwhile.
Tag Title:
Jerishow vs. Edge + Christian
Yes, this also requires Edge coming back healthy, but it's obvious he will feud w/ Jericho in some form upon returning. Jerishow has been good enough that their title run deserves to last until mania, plus an Edge/Christian reunion would be pretty cool. Also, they might the only team that could believably beat Jerishow clean.
Singles/Grudge Match
Shawn Michaels vs. HHH
DX explodes! Better at Wresltlemania than anywhere else, right? I see tension building for this as early as Survivor Series (obviously). I think it will be Shawn playing the misunderstood/jealous heel, turning on HHH, leaving Hunter to play the "I don't want to do this to you, but I have to" role. Michaels will likely take a post-mania hiatus after losing.
Triple Threat
Undertaker vs. Kane vs. Great Khali
That's right, this one is simple: the streak against two larger than life opponents, and of course Taker wins.
Money in the bank:
Nearly impossible to predict, but here's who might be involved: Kofi, Punk, MVP, Henry, Sheamus, Evan Bourne, Mcintyre, Matt Hardy, etc. I think Kofi could pull this out, though I'd like to see Punk do it again.
Plus, some divas matches. I'm also sure there will be some sort of celebrity involvement.
I know booking is unpredictable (or is it?) and it's possible none of this will pan it out, I just wanted to get the ball rolling and see what other people will come up with.
Let me also say that in some cases I'm predicting what I'd like to happen, but in others I'm simply predicting what I think will happen; so if you say an idea is stupid, I won't take offense; I might even agree... peace!
