Well seeing Judgement Day is in Punks hometown he might cash it in, if he does i think it's a bit to soon but i don't think he'll lose after all this hype.

Don't be crazy. There is a reason that every time CM Punk wrestles, the commentators say "Every time the MITB has been cashed in, we've had a new champion." That reason is because if they didn't keep winning it, there would virtually be no point in having it (the MITB match) at all.

I agree that if Punk cashes it in, he is going to lose the match. I just have that instinct that it's time for the MITB winner to lose, as they have never done that yet. If they have intentions of continuing MITB, they have to have the briefcase winner lose at some point.

Oh, and I am skipping the PPV. Don't feel bad if you don't order it. All 3 Heavyweight Title Matches will result in the current champions retaining. The only possibility of a title switch is Jericho and Mysterio.

Plus, they only have 6 matches announced for the show. Nope. Not worth it.

Well, why not just keep telling your audience what's going to happen then, before it does. Everyone complains about a stale product with predictable outcomes ... do you think that helps or hurts the cause?

As far as JD goes. I'm not gonna buy it. I have bought every PPV since Summerslam last year and to be quite honest, none of them have really impressed me enough to justify the money I paid for them. Especially when I can get a stream on the internet or just download it another time. I think that the internet is killing live PPV btw!

Well that only sways people if they're looking for a title change. If they're just looking for good wrestling with a hot crowd, tonight's show could be stellar. Punk-Umaga, Jericho-Rey, and Christian-Swagger should be good-great. The two big title matches and Cena-Show can also be very good. The lowest point of the card looks to be JoMo-Shelton, and that's saying something. Seven good-great matches getting time may make this worth getting on DVD, depending on the kind of fan you are.

Aren't you the one who thought Wrestlemania would have been better with 11+ matches, some of which were completely pointless? When one has the philosophy that a good PPV is one that gets as many people on as possible rather than one that gets the best matches out of the time and thus makes the shows worth watching and paying for, it's an opinion I don't take too seriously. I don't pay for PPVs to see a bunch of useless 5 minute R-Truth bouts I could see on any given SmackDown. A small number of matches can play just fine.

That said, I'd be shocked if Punk cashes in tonight. I think he's going to be built up as a serious contender this time. Tonight is not the night.

Well, it's a real tossup.

I can tell you that I do not watch PPV's purely for the wrestling. I watch because I want to be entertained by the entire show. And unpredictable finishes is a large part of it, for me. I have no desire to watch shows in which I can run down the entire card and tell you what is going to happen before the show even starts.

Well, if we want to be insulting (which I thought you and I had gotten past that point with each other), there are opinions of yours I don't take too seriously, either.

Again, I have major issues with WWE's operations, and the television shows giving away PPV quality matches for free every single week. Because that is giving people like you the mentality of exactly what you said ... "why should I pay money for PPV's when I can see the same matches on Raw and Smackdown for free each week." Therefore, you want to see longer matches on PPV, AND the anticipation level really isn't what it should be since you've more than likely have seen the same match on Raw or Smackdown just a few weeks ago, anyway.

My philosophy should be that PPV's should draw based on the intrigue of the contest itself, as well as the result .... NOT based on how long the match goes and each individual moveset that happens during the match.

So, yes, if I had my way you would be seeing faster-paced matches on PPV with a lot of the stalling and rest holds eliminated. Instead of having 4 or 5 rest holds per match, you would have the match time cut and perhaps only have 2 or 3.

Furthermore, instead of the weekly shows being wrestling-based, they would become more storyline based ... with more squash matches introduced into the shows. That will preserve the intrigue of the matches on PPV and prolong feuds between any two talents on the roster.

Vince has spoiled you guys essentially, by giving you PPV quality matches on weekly television. However, in this regard "Less is More".

The card I proposed for Wrestlemania on the other Forum was (as best as I can recall from memory, since they deleted the thread it was in):

WWE Title
John Cena vs Randy Orton

World Title
Triple H vs Edge w/ The Big Show

Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker

Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy

IC Title
Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk

US Title
R-Truth vs Shelton Benjamin

Women's Title
Melina vs Mickie James vs Beth Phoenix vs Jillian Hall

WWE Tag Team Championship
The Colons vs Priceless

ECW Hardcore Battle Royal-
Jack Swagger
Mark Henry
John Morrison
The Miz
Evan Bourne
Finlay
Tommy Dreamer
Paul Burchill
Tyson Kidd
DJ Gabriel
Ricky Ortiz
Natalya
Alicia Fox

Money in the Bank
Christian
MVP
Kofi Kingston
JBL
Chris Jericho
Kane

And I'm sorry, but I would take that card any day over what we wound up getting at this year's Mania. 10 matches over 4 hours I don't find to be that unreasonable at all.
