Why the hell do you think there's going to be a talent purge because of some new advertisements in the WWE? I'll be nice, so I don't get into some hot water...but damn, dude.

The reason for the endorsements are for...wait for it...MONEY! Economic times mean there needs to be some revenue coming in and with a PG rating, the WWE can market itself on Pepsi cans, Subway posters, Pep Boys' Body Shops, Bath and Body Works...I mean, it's smart. At least the WWE doesn't let the PG rating go to waste and are using it to their advantage.

And no one's in hot water. Nobody.

Good point. But there's no one on the chopping block as of yet. There's always talks of Charlie Haas being released, and some other talent that's been off TV lately. Mike Knox could be, Ricky Ortiz, and that's all I can think of.

But the cuts usually come around during summer.

i think the three most probable releases would be curt hawkins, jesse, and dj gabrial. all of there partners were separated from them in the draft, out side of ryder hawkins is nothing, jesse is nothing without festus. also gabrial wasn't much with alicia fox but now he is less. those are my best best to have good luck in all the future endeavors

If we're lucky (and WWE is smart) they will release Michael Cole and move one of the wrestlers to fill his commentary spot (i.e. regal). It wouldnt be hard. i think festus would be a better commentator than Michael Cole.

Cole has improved out of sight since he was moved to RAW. Im not a Cole mark but compared to how he was... i mean i can actually stand him now. Hass wont be released because he has been paried with shelton again.

Was Haas paired with Shelton? Last I read he was teaming with Mike Knox at house shows as a possible tag team. Yea I don't get MyNetwork at my college so perhaps i've missed something in the smackdown results every week. Unless something's changed, I would say Haas and Knox could be released if they don't work out as a tag team. I thought the run Knox got on Raw was a way of sink or swim.

DJ Gabriel I don't think will be released just yet. I definitely see him being used as jobber feed for Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson (WHERE HAS HE BEEN?) and reduced to rubble before being released.

i realy hope ricky ortiz gets the chop because he's a complete failure, i have a bad feeling wwe might release R-Truth, witch wud piss me of, i belive R-Truth cud be a solid high midcarder/occasional main eventer.

I think sim snuker or dh smith when was the last time you saw either of these guys??

DJ Gabriel - He hasn't been on TV since Alica left ECW.
Curt Hawkins - Not seen on TV since draft.
Hornswoggle - Really what is his use now? Unless something pops up for him on RAW, he will be gone.
Sim Snuka - Does nothing.
Jesse - Needs a new look otherwise will be old and boring with no Festus.
Ricky Ortiz - No use other than a jobber really

Addressing other peoples guesses;
DH Smith - I'm sure he will be brought back on screen with Tyson Kidd and Natalya soon.
R-Truth - He is over quite well, and might become a Kung Fu Naki character.
Mike Knox - Is quite an over heel, and can draw heat well.
Charlie Haas - Paired with Shelton again? Benjamin is far too over compared to Haas now. But then its bye bye shelton push if he is put over with Haas again.

Seeing how the guy has jobbed two weeks in a row and had his body guard taking away I wouldn't be surprised if The Brian Kendricks gets the axe. Not that I want him to though as I feel the WWE missed the boat on what could of become out of the TBK and Big Zek combo. Speaking of Zek we haven't seen him since the draft and I honestly don't see where he fits in on ECW seeing as how they already have a dominate powerhouse in Kozvol. It seems like I had a case of de ja vu watching that Festus segment the other night as I did see the same thing a year ago with Murdoch, so I would say his release is imminent. I would also say a few others who haven't been seen in weeks and those that were in partnerships that were split due to the draft i.e. DJ Gabriel, Hawkins and Ryder and Jesse.

Brian Kendrick irritates the hell out of me, i'd be glad to see him axed. He's nothing but a glorified RAW jobber now.

The fact that Kendrick is on TV at all, with a full entrance no less, I like his chances of remaining employed. Not like Palumbo last year, where he was on SmackDown rocking a decent little push and then got drafted to Raw and we never saw him again...

...If you can't tell, I really enjoyed Palumbo's last run.

True, but things aren't as tough for them as you'd expect at the Titan Towers, or so the rumor goes. Not to say they aren't tough, but I could see them over-doing the cost-cutting this year. Any unusual cost-cutting measures are likely preparatory as Vince fears Obama's economic policy.

Anyway, for the sake of playing along, Dreamer and Noble are probably employed for as long as they like since they can both help the company as agents. They might be common sense picks from the way they're booked at times, but I'm calling bollocks on both right now. If they leave, I think it will be agreed upon by both parties (That part was more on the topic of Dreamer... Noble really should be a lock to stay with the company for years).

Jesse and whatever Major Edge-head Brother is left on SmackDown are my easiest picks to be released, just because we've heard nothing from them since the draft and long before.

Additionally, if cuts are made, I see the legend of Funaki growing. He will once again avoid release because he's one of the good old boys. :)

Anytime I see a name wrestler just randomly being in the ring after a commercial I get nervous of a cut. I think Crime Tyme has had this a few times and I was like, "Shit, I like them, hope they aren't getting the axe." Yeah, that's right. I'm a C.T. mark. Even though it heightens African stereotypes, I enjoy watching them work together and they seem to really like their jobs.

I see Kendrick getting the axe though. I agree that without Zek he really isn't much. Just as much as when he was with London. Kendrick is just one of those guys that needs to have a partner or manager type person to get his character over. The kid can move, but he looks like Golem from Lord of the Rings and is just, I dunno, comes off like a weirdo in a bad sense.

I think that William Regal is in hot water for sure.
The other person I think is Kozlov. He was undefeated and all of a sudden loses a bunch and gets drafted to ECW.

Regal is a great wrestler and i think would do good behind the announce table. Maybe wwe will realize this. Hass and benjamin may be able to help out the horrible tag divsion we have now adays. Theres not too many people for them to face against. One of my all time favorites is Goldust. Hes great for comedic purposes and still has great in ring work. I think he should do some type of tag angle with Santino, or challenge the us title on raw. just a thought though. As far as hot water well, Ortiz hasnt done one thing that stands out to me, how does funaki keep a job after all these years? Sim snuka? Dh will probably be used real soon on ecw. Festus should be repackaged cuz his gimmick is the worst one on raw, jesse should be repackaged or he will get the ax, akio jimmy wayne yang w/e u call him now is such a great performer but hes not expsed on tv too much so theres a maybe. Bring back shannon moore have them have more great tag matches. Time will only tell in WWE.

That wouldn't apply here, though, as Kendrick has gotten a full entrance for two weeks in a row. Even if he gets released, your this logic wouldn't explain it

Now if anyone knew whether or not he was still on the weed, that wouyld be great.

Really?... If anything, the man has a little Leo DiCaprio to him. No? My understanding was he even had a gimmick related to Leo in Japan.
