Simple. What's the last match you watched and what did you think of it?

One Night Stand 2008: Singapore Cane Match
CM Punk vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. John Morrison vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Big Show

Punk enters first, which prompts Mike Adamle (hehe.. Remember that guy?) to say that Punk has been on a bit of an downturn since winning MITB. I remember him losing some matches, but I never remember them being dumb enough to bring it up on air. Tazz disagrees with Adamle; good man.

Canes are located on above each corner and in a can at ringside. Odd.

Bam Neely is at ringside. He might have been the worst body guard in wrestling history. And to be frank, even as a Chavo fan, I don't think enhancement talent need body guards.

Everyone starts by going after Show. Very quick sequence where it doesn't go so well and Show holds his own with headbutts, punches, and slams. Show misses an elbow leading to some unlikely teamwork from Punk and Morrison to keep Show off his game. Then the four midgets (compared to Show...) get the canes down from the posts above each corner and go to town on Show, sending him to the outside. This leads to a nice ringside scuffle with Chavo, Punk, and some football player (?) in the first row. The football player gets hit by Chavo, so him and Punk become friends. Sweet. Punk swinging for like a wild man with the cane was pretty funny looking as well. Miz hits ringside to help Morrison overcome Show, which leads to Show dropping some steal steps and getting busted open hard way. Ugly stuff. The four midgets get back in the ring, leading to a sweet pumphandle/cane move involving Dreamer and Morrison, some nice cane shots, and a three man tower-of-doom deal that takes the forth man (Dreamer) out as well. At this point, Show gets the canes from the can at ringside, takes out Neely and Miz, and heads back into the ring for endgame. Adamle says Show is spanking Punk like a schoolboy. What a weirdo. Show pins Dreamer in convincing fashion after a nice cane shot.

Winner: Big Show

Nine minutes of lively fun. Puts a smile on my face.

Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle, WrestleMania 19. It was quite good actually. My favourite WrestleMania, coincidentally.

Edge vs CM Punk on Smackdown last week. Punk went from losing to Kane to beating Edge cleanly (I think). Gl with Umanga Punk. Was a alright match

Side note
Umanga's side walk slam thing (w/e that was) was sloppy as hell.

Tyler Black & The Necro Butcher vs Jay & Mark Briscoe from ROH Transform on January 12, 2008...it's a Street Fight, and it's pretty odd, because the rest of the Age of the Fall comes out and massacres Jay, Jimmy Jacobs puts him through a table with a back senton off a ladder, so it's like the Age of the Fall vs Mark Briscoe for 10 minutes, then Jack Evans and Jigsaw come out and kick some ass. It's an arena spanning brawl and spotfest for the odd 15 or 20 minutes, and then for some reason, Jack Evans pins Jimmy Jacobss...and the Vulture Squad are announced as the winners. So an illegal man pinned another illegal man, and won a match he wasn't even in? Go figure. It was a fun spotfest, anyway.

Lex Luger v/s Ric Flair from Starrcade 88 True Grit.

This match was a solid match up despite how bad Luger is during this time. He was just hitting his stride and this match gave him the push he needed. The only problem I had was when they over sold Flair's chair shot to Luger's legs. Barely made impact and apparently, Luger's knee 'popped'. Nah. And besides, Luger no-sold, then over sold the injury too much. Needless to say, Flair won thanks to the foot on the ropes. It was a great match that did nothing to tear down Luger and did everything to still put Flair in a league of his own.

The Rock vs HHH at Backlash 2000 as I make my way through The Rock's DVD. Again. I defy anyone to admit they did not mark out when watching that match for the first time when Austin's music hits, and when The Rock hits the people's elbow as Earl Hebner scrambles in to make the count.

Tazz & Spike Dudley vs. Test & Booker T from No Way Out 2002. I have no idea why I'm watching this show again.

I bought three different "Best of Taz" DVDs about a month ago and I've been periodically watching them. I think the last match I watched was Taz vs. Bubba Ray Dudley.

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk - Armageddon 2008

Mysterio rocking the pink tonight. Not enough wrestlers do that.

IC Champ William Regal (w/ Layla) is at ringside. Weird to see a contendership match happen on a PPV where the champion isn't booked to wrestle. That's the Intercontinental Championship for ya. Prestige baby.

King describes Rey and Punk as the two nicest guys you could ever meet. Hehe.

Good wrestling. Punk threw a nice looking crossface in there for a few seconds. He should work that into his routine. Cool spot where Rey dodges a knee while hung upside down. Both guys have dives to the outside, neato counters to eachothers moves, and an all around fun and fresh looking match. Rey does a sick roll up where he's behind Punk and pulls his arms through his legs. The GTS just about breaks Rey's nose. Respect, hugs, and love after the match. Aww.

Winner: CM Punk

15ish minutes of fresh WWE action with two good wrestlers. Should definately happen again. Good PPV, actually. Two ace main events, Batista vs. Orton is passable, and I liked Henry vs. Finlay.

Diva's Battle Royal Wrestlemania 25
I don't know why I watched this one again. It was absolutely horrible. No ring introductions and barely any mention of the past divas. They were literally only mentioned once and that was when they were eliminated. Just horrible. The only thing worth watching was Santina, that was entertaining, but it was a lot more funny the first time I watched it.

The 2009 Royal Rumble match

I bought the DVD this morning and I have sat back and watched the whole show this afternoon. It's a pretty good PPV all round. And the Royal Rumble match was the final match on the card so...

I didn't bother buying the PPV at the time, for one I was skint. The only PPV I actually buy is WrestleMania, but then I usually pick up the rest on DVD. So it was the first time I'd watched this years Royal Rumble match... and I loved it. There were some great spots through-out the match... Santino's extremely swift exit from the match, Undertaker being eliminated by Big Show but mostly RVD being a surprise entrant into the match. I knew he entered and I have seen it before on Youtube, but it was still pretty awesome to watch again. Overall a good, all round Royal Rumble match.
