The Undertaker:undertaker2: for the same reasons as you, just to see how it would play out, both different styles, i am sure the build-up and the match would be great

I'd like to have seen Steamboat in his prime take on Evan Bourne. That would be a match of the century candidate I think. (Also, I really want to see Bourne break out the Cyclorama at some point, but I think the WWE's too paranoid.)

Edit: Cyclorama- Top-rope belly-to-belly suplex moonsault thing. Saw him do it once live at a Ring of Honor show a few years ago, and it's one of the greatest friggin' moves in history.

I would have to say I would like to see dragon vs rey..or classic dragon vs classic undertaker that would be interesting to see those two go at it . the move with rey and the high flying of dragon would be interesting to see how they would pull that off

STEAMBOAT VS EDGE for the World Heavyweight Championship. It would really set the tone for EDGE'S career & Boost the Prestige For the World Title. Can U Imagine even an TLC Match, having Edge do most of the spots, coming back as a resilance Champion & retaining the World's Title? There would be a great Ovatation for both athletes!

How about Steamboat vs. Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle vs. Eddi Guerrero in a Fatal 4-way?

Or throw in Shawn Michaels and Randy Savage and make it Hell in a Cell.

I'm not going nastailgia on anyone talking about the "good ole days" but I really wish wrestling fans under 20 could really see Ricky Steamboat perform. Anytime someone mentions Steamboat's name they think his greatest match was against Randy Savage at Wrestlemania, which was an excellent match or against Ric Flair in the late 80's,also excellent.
Go back in early Georgia Championship Wrestling before it turned into World Championship Wrestling. Steamboat had some great matches with Tully Blanchard, Wahoo Mcdaniel, the Briscos, Roddy Piper, Greg Valentine and a pre-four horseman Ric Flair. Even his time in WCW before injuring his back against Steve Austin were some great classic matcheds against Austin, Rick Rude & Barry Windham (another awsome underated wrestler).
I remember going to a WCW house show and watching Ricky Steamboat wrestle Barry Windham to a time limit draw for the International title ( the gold belt/World Heavyweight Championship in WWE) in a time when those types of matches were on the way out. The match received a standing ovation and rightly so.
Ricky Steamboat made every match a special match and I knew when I paid my money to see him wrestle, I left getting my money's worth. He was what wrestling was all about. Performers giving their all in a match for the wrestling fans who came to see them perform.
As much as I hated to see him retire there was about 5 years in the 90's where guys like him were not appreciated ( circa; WWE Attitude Era/WCW NWO era). The "baby face" was on the way out and cursing on the mic, acting like a dusche bag doing crotch chops were on the way in.
Steamboat was/is the best performer in wrestling. We all have our favorites but if you had ever seen Steamboat wrestle 5 different times against 5 different people he always made the match entertaining.
With the video library WWE owns I do hope they do a great bio of Ricky Steamboat and bring out alot of his older hidden matches. It would be worth the cash.
Sorry for the rambling but Steamboat is awsome.
But if I would see him wrestle against someone today, it would have to be either Shawn Michaels, Sting or Rob Van Dam. I think their styles would mesh great with Ricky Steamboat. :twocents:
