If he does, I'm going on record of pointing out that I've been consistently saying that I don't think he should win it due to how he's proven nothing yet. He beat Tommy Dreamer, which means absolutely nothing, Ricky Ortiz, which means even less, and had a sub-standard and laborious match with Finlay - which also means nothing. I think he sucks at cutting promos (not just because of the lisp, but he's a bad actor as well), he hasn't given me a single reason to boo him as a heel as I find all of his taunts and such to be really generic and boring, and I think the name Jack Swagger is as stupid as Johnny Nitro was (which you can't really fault him for on that one).

BUT...at the same time, I dislike Matt Hardy, and I've never been a fan of his either, and although I think Matt is more deserving of the ECW title due to his experience and actually being over with the crowd, if Swagger wins tonight, I won't be dissing him due to some "omg now that Hardy isn't the champion, I like him better" b.s.

Just getting it out there. Seems like too many people around here hate or like people just because they want to be different and not too many people stick to their guns. So if he wins the title, we're gonna either see a huge flocking of "I knew it! He's the best thing ever!" or everybody is going to start doing a 180 and saying they don't like him anymore, and I'm throwing it out there ahead of time: if he wins, I'm still not going to like him unless he has one HELL of a match with Hardy (hahahaha, like Matt Hardy is gonna pull that off too) and proves to me that he has the potential. But I'm not gonna dislike him any more than I did unless he does the same thing on the other side of the spectrum - if he has one hell of a horrible match or has shown absolutely no improvement since the last snoozer he had with Finlay.

Oh and if he does win, despite how I don't think he's proven his value yet, it'll easily be the most exciting ECW in a long while - but that's not saying much, as the past 6 or 7 episodes, I've actually been unable to watch the full thing and shut it off when I'd have to watch Finlay/Henry, Henry/Hardy, or Hardy/Finlay.

as far as the Borck comparisons, I cant see him getting that sort of push, becuas ehis physique is too silly for him to be taken seriously as an intimidator like that. But I can see him having a rather accelerated push, simular to Kurt Angle. If they have KOR next year, this guy is gonna win it. FACT

I echo NoFate in regards to Swagger in almost every way. As it is right now there is something about Swagger that immediately makes my brain think "You suck, go away, get off my TV". As a heel he doesn't make me "hate" him, he doesn't make me want to watch him get beat up or get his comeuppance, and he certainly doesn't make me want to spend money on tickets, merchandise, or PPVs. In fact I just don't care about or for him. I'll give him time, but in all honesty, I felt the exact same with Batista, and still do, so it probably won't change.

Probably totally true about King of the Ring. I still think they should have had him win the title at Mania. But what the fuck. ECW just got interesting again for the first time since Evan Bourne got injured. Matt Hardy sucks anyway.
