Well I'll prolly have it on since I'm snowed in and there's nothing better on, I'm watching Dal/Bal online, since my shitty cable provider doesn't give us NFL network (at least I can watch the game on NFL.com), but anyway is this on USA or NBC?

You know it's got to be hard as hell wrestling in that desert, between the heat and the sun being in their eyes
and great this show is already off to a shitty start, with Meth Hardy, & R-False, thank god for the Punker and Miz/Morrison

It really must be. Imagine the humidity, and not to mention the light from the sun that they're not used to. Impressive indeed.

Morrison made the entire uncomfortable as they all had erections within close proximity to eachother. He'd serve better servicing the female troops.

The problem is it's only cool to non wrestling fans. We hate it because the wrestling sucks. Non wrestling fans are kind of imprssed but turned off by the awful wrestling. Military personel that aren't fans would probably like it best.

See, here's proof that those repetitive promos and commercials don't work.
I have a FANTASTIC memory, and I had no idea that this was today. I'm so sick and tired of watching Raw/ECW/SD and seeing the same exact ads over and over again that I literally block them out. Recently, they've been advertising that "Bod" deodorant or something, and its two commercials, EVERY COMMERCIAL BREAK. So quite literally, I end up seeing a Bod commercial roughly 10 times an hour. That drives you nuts and you just don't pay attention anymore.
WWE drilled this Tribute to the Troops thing for a while, especially yesterday on Smackdown, and it was so much that I completely blocked it out of my mind.
Rusty

For the record, this show wasn't advertised ONCE here in Australia. They edited out the apparent commercials for the show.

12-20-2008, 10:29 PM
You're so, so lucky Rusty lol. Especially if you don't have to sit through the Bod commercials....or the Esurance commercials....or the other ones that are there every single break, and just when you get back to the show, all they do is show you a 10 minute Raw Rewind...and then when they come back from that, they plug WWEshop...and then they show you the "buy the encore of Armageddon" thing (which I had to see I think four times last night during Smackdown)

We have the WWEshop ads, but they aren't that bad. We get the Raw rewind on ECW and Smackdown but no Bod commercials or anything like that.
Just annoying repetitive commercials that the networks advertise their shows in.

I'm all for having a house show over there...I'm just not sure that NBC will continue to carry it if it continues to be this bad. Why not go over there with the intention of not putting on a massively horrid show?
I'll be interested to see the ratings.

i was very disapointed in the TTT this year. It was a pretty bad show loaded with commercials. Granted the troops don't see all these commercials but the past TTT have been MUCH better and have been 2 hours. There were no singles matches at all like in past years. I have to list the matches for you new guys to see the quality of show from 2003-2007 compared to 2008. Since 2003 until now we been treated with Big Show vs Carlito (although that was a squash) Mick Foley vs. JBL, Benjamin vs. Snitsky, Chris Masters vs Cena, The Coach vs Flair (lol), Michaels vs HHH, Cena vs Edge, Punk vs Shelton, Lashley vs Hardcore Holly, Umaga vs Jeff Hardy, Carlito vs Randy Orton, Undertaker vs Nitro, Randy Orton Vs. Chris Jericho, D-Generation X Vs. Umaga & Mr. Kennedy, Carlito Vs. Jeff Hardy, Mark Henry vs Mysterio, Booker T vs Rene Dupree, Undertaker vs Heidenreich, Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle and Luther Reigns, The APA vs Worlds Greatest Tag Team, Eddie vs Benoit, Cena vs Big Show, Rikishi vs Rhyno, Stone Cold Stunners, Divas Matches. Most of those matches weren't that bad. They weren't these fast paced, quick finished 6 man tags like you saw this year. I think they dropped the ball this year. I have to admit part of the whole idea of TTT is for the wrestlers to spend time with the troops; which they did. But from an entertainment point of view, there was not much in-ring action.

I would have to completely disagree. This is something that the wwe wrestlers do becasue they love to do it and they want to entertain the soldiers in Iraq, or Afghanastan who don't get to come home and spend time with their families. Wrestlers in the WWE WANT to go to there and perform and I think it's for the right reasons. While Mcmahon loves publicity, this is definately not one of those times.

It's good that those army geezers have something to watch at Christmas. Even though it takes place two months before that day and most would prefer to meet some American Footballers, or at least people from something they watch.
But if WWE didn't get the publicity then they wouldn't do it.
