Sting and John Cena are one in the same. I would list reasons but this is the spam zone. If anyone wants to debate this fact I will get back with you.

Sting = legend
Cena = well-known good wrestler
Different.

Also, Cena's offense is nowhere near as well rounded. Sting could go jump for jump with RVD.

JR always used to talk about how much Cena, playing the "Prototype" character, reminded him of Sting. But think about it:
Cena: Tall, strong white guy.
Sting: Tall, strong white guy.
Cena: Slammed Big Show, Viscera.
Sting: Slammed both Awesome Kongs, Vader
Cena: Multi-time World Champ
Sting: Multi-time World Champ
Cena: Drew huge without Hulk Hogan
Sting: Drew huge without Hulk Hogan
Cena: Would draw even huger with Hulk Hogan
Sting: Drew huger with Hulk Hogan
Cena: Charisma off the charts
Sting: Charisma off the charts
The one difference:
Cena: Did it all with the McMarketing Machine behind him
Sting: Never needed the McMarketing Machine behind him...

And by comparison to the numbers WWE used to do, I'm not sure you can say cena has drawn huge.

You see Monkey? I told you that. Cena only made it big with the WWE money behind him. Thank you and good night.

not really a fair comparison though. its apples to oranges. as if the NWA even HAD that sort of money to do so??? like Cena has the option of telling them not to??

flying leg drop thingy anyone??
you sound smarky. do you think he is incapable of such moves, or maybe they book him not to??? I feel his is JUST as well rounded, as Cena has a very strong submission game, much like Sting

That's very true. Vince had a great idea and ran with it. It worked. Would Cena draw without Vince? Maybe. Would Sting draw with Vince? Maybe. Hard to say for sure.

Yeah I know taht, but I'm basing it on what his character does. If Sting had been booked the way Cena is I'd say the same thing. I've seen Cena's prototype stuff, and it's damn impressive. I jsut know that Sting's athleticism impressed me more than anyone.

Sting wouldve been a ridiculous draw with Vince's mind behind him. goodness gracious, I can only imagine

Sting used to be able to go jump for jump, and run circles around RVD...
My favorite "Sting" was when he had the crew cut and and colored face paint...The Scorpion Deathlock and Stinger Splash were amazing moves, and it's all gone. He's still Sting, but he's not near what he used to be IMO

That's very true, hence the word could. He's in his 40s now, and obviously can't do what he used to be able to. He's still the legend too.
