View Full Version : Kofi Kingston or Carlito?
Who is the better talent? They both reign keyfabe from the Caribbean, and both have similar gimmicks. Carlito was the original of the two, but Kingston has become an up and comer in the WWE. Who is the better Caribbean?

Unimportant point, but Carlito actually is from the Caribbean. Anyway, I'd have to go with Kofi here. It always seemed to me that Carlito never had the fire to him to be in the main event in WWE. Kofi is young and exciting. Not to say that he won't be the next Carlito, but I'd go with Kofi.
keyfabe was for Kofi, who is actually from Africa, Carlito is Puerto Rican.

How so? One black the other Puerto Rican. On face, one heel. Neither cool, but you get the point.

This one definitely goes to Kofi.
Carlito showed some promise, but always gets buried for the same problem. He's not a hard worker and doesn't seem to have the desire to be a main eventer. It's upsetting too because I love his finisher.
Now, Kofi on the other hand seems special to me, a real blue-chipper. He has an unorthodox style like RVD or Jeff Hardy, a good look, mic skills, ring skills that are getting better, and charisma. I could definitely see this guy getting into the upper midcard following the feud with Orton's stable. His finisher is just sick and is quick as hell too. He'll be IC champ again before long and I think there's a number of guys he could have great feuds with. Sadly, most of those are on Smackdown/ECW so idk how it'll work. But I think Kofi has a chance to be a major player in the future.

I picked Carlito. Carlito never succeeded because of his attitude but he had the chance to be something big. Remember his feud with Flair. He got really over in my eyes at that point. He makes a better heel to me but it only seems like he succeeds when hes face. The backstabber is sick. Kofi on the other hand is a good wrestler yes but he can't cut a promo. His character seems to have already died. The random attack on the 2nd Gen guys wasn't a push for a stable it was a random wrestler getting involved. How would Kofi fit in? Then they pair him with Haas and Lawer. Creative obviously already got bored of him.I pick Carlito now that is cool.

Sorry but I have to go with none of them... King Beck-ah's choice is the best by far...
Carlito: Good mic skills, his charisma seems to fade when he is doing what he is supposed to like (being a heel), every time he gets in the ring his move set is more and more limited, his look got old a year ago, as I said, has good mic skills but he rarely cuts a good promo but maybe that is more creative's fault, Carlito's Cabana is dead or was replaced with striker's classroom... Also, he keeps bitching about everything... Conclusion: Carlito should be spitting on his own face, he doesn't want to be cool anymore...
Kofi: Innovative move set, some charisma, I think he has cut a promo or two... nothing special... Also, his character needs some depth, as I don't see him being a heel anytime soon (if anyday)... Kofi's character and in ring skills scream midcarder but nothing more, and at this moment I see the raw midcard full of people that fit better in storylines than the ever happy jamaican... Conclusion: find him a storyline to deal with, some interesting feuds, and then check how it works for him...

Both are equal, they both add the same ingrediant to the roster essentially, and it is one of stereotypes, but thats not to say they are the SAME Stereotype. Both have a degree of talent in the ring. Carlito has the edge on the Mic I'd say but Kofi is more varied and original with his moveset.

I think Kofi is the better talen i used to like carlito but he seems to have lost his drive maybe know that he is in a tag team with his brother he'll be good again. Kofi is charismatic young and is good in the ring he has a brigh future.

I've seen both wrestle in person, and Kofi is much more exciting to watch. Carlito was good for a laugh or two, but Kofi was just incredible for only having debuted a month or so prior. Given the choice to see a match with one or the other, i'd opt to see kofi, so he wins over my vote.
Carlito= 3 title reigns
Kofi= 1 short one.
