The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Vince McMahon has decided NOT to feature Randy Savage as a playable character in the upcoming "Legends of Wrestlemania" video game which is slated to be released by THQ next March. Savage, who competed in 9 out of the first 10 Wrestlemania's and won the WWF Championship at two of them, is being regarded by THQ as a huge loss to the video game. In addition to Savage, McMahon has also made the decision to pull Mick Foley from the game even though his character had already been created. McMahon made the decision following Foley's departure from WWE and announcement that he has signed with TNA. Several other names were also removed from the game at McMahon's request, but those names have yet to be released.

Not having Macho Man on this game is like not putting Mario in a Super Mario Bros. game. I mean seriously, some of Savage's 'Mania matches were totally epic. Savage-Steamboat from WM3 was great, his title match with Hogan was good, and even his match in the championship tournament final versus Ted Debiase was awesome. And like Uncle Shocky said, Vince has got his head so far up his ass, he'll never see the light and put Macho Man as a legend in a wrestling game. They better put HBK and Razor Ramon in that game, so you can re-play their ladder match for the IC title. It's too great to be left out. By the way, does anyone know why I can't start new threads? I'm practically going insane.

Watch, he'll pull Hogan and Hart from the game next, at which point it will be pretty much pointless

Giving this line, we can wonder who will be out of this legends of WM game:

- Randy Savage (confirmed)
- Mick Foley (confirmed)

But I think politics could affect the roster of this game significanlty more:

- Hulk Hogan (it will depend on Vince's mood, but since the trailer has Hogan on it, it´s safe to say he will be in)
- Ultimate Warrior (for sure he won't be there)
- Kurt Angle (similar to Foley)

Does anyone have some link with the expected roster?

Savage not being on there is pathetic. Foley.....I could see him not being in it. Other than the match with Edge, he didn't really have a big Mania moment that I can think of.

If anyone expects benoit, they're nuts.

You would figure in a legends of Wrestlemania game that a guy that was involved in 8 of the first ten wrestlemanias, including arguably the greatest match ever in the event, and winning two WWF titles might entitle him to at least get a mention.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think the same thing. If it has the same engine as SVR then I'll probably skip it. Even though all of the legends in it make it awfully tempting.

thats all it will be. Just a bunch of legneds with no modes, just like exhibiton matches, maybe allow you to use the blue bar cage.

So basically this will just be some shit they should add to SVR. but fuck it, people are GOING to buy it. I might. depends on what I hear about it. I havent the least bit of intrigue at the moment.
