View Full Version : Samoa Joe is a TERRIBLE actor.

I've finally realized what I've always been never able to stand about Samoa Joe. His acting skills are HORRENDOUS. I'm just watching a segment he was in, and he was completely outshined by several high school actors I've seen.

He's unnatural, not fluid, and it's like he's terrified of the camera.


Unless he improves his acting skills, he'll never be anything other than a run of the mill champion.

I totally agree. I have said that all along. He just seems so out of place. His wrestling is great most of the time, but his segments are almost always horrible. He may be very entertaining to some wrestling-marks (though i think he is getting stale), but entertainment-wise, he is terrible. I can't remember the last time I saw Samoa Joe on TV and got excited about it.

Before Triple H moving to SmackDown! on Monday, I hadn't been excited about a wrestling segment in 4 years... which is when I saw my first match (Hogan vs. The Rock @ 'Mania X8 in Toronto :))

Anyways, I don't agree with you guys. Samoa Joe displays passion when he's on the mic, almost like a watered-down John Cena. He's not great, but he makes you want to listen to him because he gets SO angry.

He's bad, not terrible. When TNA was more of a glorified indy promotion, it was easier to buy into him. That was also when he wasn't Kevin Nash's bitch, of course.

He's good at acting pissed off, but he has no range. He can't do comedy at all, and I have never seen him even attempt anything else, like the AJ and Karen angle, where he has to play off of someone else and use a range of emotions. I'm not to big on his matches either, they are getting pretty predictable. I guess Nash is teaching him to use the exact same move set in the exact same order in every match.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Joe and Karen storyline. They could have one mean wet t-shirt contest. That'd sell out MSG.

Even I find that gross. Not really, it's average. Joe and Karen's breasts balance each other out. Not really, Karen's are nicer than Joe's are bad.

But yeah, Joe's acting is atrocious. Like someone said before, the only thing he can do half way decent is acting angry. He sucks at everything else. AJ Styles is a far superior professional wrestler to Samoa Joe.

Of course, I've been saying that for years, people are just now catching up to that fact.
