Not a bad idea actually. The whole GM thing has beem getting rather old as of late, and letting it be nothing more than a running comedy angle for a few months would help the clear the air.

Plus there could be another feud with Santino; and that's money if I ever saw it. :D

In all serious, I think Ron Simmons, the man, the the chatecter, would do an awesome job as GM. He's serious, and he can get anyone to listen to him. But the "DAMN" Ron Simmons would have his charecter ruined it he ever said somthing that didn't sound like DAMN. So how would he make matchs and such?

It is a very good idea and would be a nice "reward" for Simmons for going into rehab to sort out his drinking problem.

It could lead to fueds with guys like Marella, but due to Simmons lack of anyhting other than the word "Damn", I can't see it lasting too long.

DAMN!!

But how is he going to announce a match? If they return Simmons back to Faarooq and let him speak, then it would be alright.

Or, he can be a "yes" and "no" GM. When someone approaches him and pitches an idea, he either says DAMN in agreement, or DAMN in disagreement. It may work, but it might get old fast.

I am surprised that Vince did not announce a new RAW GM last Monday, I hope he doesn't take over the role again, Vince is only good in small doses. Ron Simmons would be an interesting move, but I don't see it happening, Teddy Long will probably be announced as the new GM during the draft in 4 weeks.
