John Cena now has an opportunity to headline WrestleMania in the WWE Title Match, but now he must worry about two men – Triple H and WWE Champion Randy Orton. And Triple H made a statement when he delivered a thunderous Pedigree to both men after he officiated their match last week. What lengths will these Superstars go to mark their territory and gain momentum going into WrestleMania XXIV?

With a bandaged nose and a black eye, Big Show made his first appearance on Raw in more than a year. The 7-footer was there to apologize for his behavior the night before at No Way Out, when he and Floyd Mayweather traded blows. After “apologizing” to the WBC welterweight champion, Big Show then taunted Mayweather into accepting his challenge for a match. The type of match was unspecified, but what type of bout might we expect from these two warriors?

In other Raw action, Mr. McMahon looked on callously as his son, Hornswoggle, suffered a ruthless beating by JBL and lie unconscious in the middle of the ring. As the night began, the little guy had expected to battle his father in a Steel Cage Match. There shown, however, a sliver of light when Hornswoggle’s protector, Finlay, tried to rescue him. But JBL turned out the lights when he attacked the Irishman and handcuffed him to the ring ropes. He then began to pummel Hornswoggle so severely that even Mr. McMahon was taken aback.

What is Hornswoggle’s condition? And what are JBL and the Chairman’s reactions and explanations for the brutal attack? And what are Finlay’s thoughts?

Sadly, pretty true. MITB, Undertaker/Edge, and MVP/Hardy if they do it should be good matches. Hopefully better than just solid matches, but even for 55 bucks I fear WWE will still water those down and dissapoint.

I am also very dissapointed they brought Mickie's push to a sudden halt in favor of a Bunny Match that will be a filler. Sadly, Beth/Mickie would end up being a filler, also.

Batista/Umaga could be a decent big man match, or a accident.

WWE is too concerned with making WrestleMania feel big time. Hence stuff like the bunny match, boxer vs. wrestler, and the chance of a lot of watered down matches. In WWE's point of view, as long as everyone hits their few big moves its a solid effort, which is fine for tv. But for WrestleMania of all shows, everyone should go all out to give the performance of their year.

Gotta blame vince. Hardy, whose push isnt really dead imo, was getting pops so loud it was amazing. He's so hellbent on pushing cena as hogan 2 that he's ignoring the most important people, the audience.

He would be wise to keep Mania at 50, the other big 3 at 35 and lower the monthly shows to the early 14 buck IYH pricetag and do brand exclusive shows with all the titles at stake and some midcard feuds getting blown off too. Or better yet just do 4 shows a year, maybe a 5th one. And utilize SNME better if they still do that.

Nah, he'd rather show his backside off on tv than give us a good product. The good product we could be getting is in the same closet at titan towers with half the roster's movesets, and the word creative in creative team. It'll take something major, like a new MNW, to get better than we are getting now, sadly. And than it will take awhile still. When Nitro started in 1995, it took nearly 3 years for Vince to really turn things around, it was a slow change - though at least worth it.

While I agree 100%, the problem is Vince is too worried with storytelling these days. It is one thing for a match to tell a story, but WWE's way of doing it is all too often the SOS. If they let guys go out there and do their thing like you said, the stories would be better already because there would be more variety.

It's been a week since the hornswaggle beatdown, and on 3 shows now theres been 3 great video packages on those shows: a great one on taker's win streak, a video hyping wrestlemania, and tonight one which i can't remember. Then each time we got an update on hornswaggle. What a waste of time.

Chavo/Punk was pretty good. I think they are both capable of better matches, but they were still better than most of the current stuff. Chavo did some stuff he hadn't done in awhile at NWO which was refreshing. At this point, it'd make a good match for Mania so they could blow off the feud. Even though it's been done a few times on tv and at NWO, it could still be a good, fun fast-paced opener with Punk finally getting the belt back.

I'd of liked to have seen them build Tommy Dreamer up for a title match at Mania. They have 5 weeks and 2 shows a week with the Smack/ECW merger so they could do it if they wanted to. Put Punk in MITB and let Tommy have a moment in the spotlight against Chavo!

Dreamer more than anyone else deserves it. It would make sense too as Raw now has 3 guys in mitb and sd/ecw has one. They could use the other 2 guys, as i hope its only 6 guys. My question is other than punk, who else could you put in the match? Mvp maybe?
