I just hope they have it in a big stadium again, it seems more of a spectacle if they don't have it in an arena they usually use for RAW.

Possible candidates to host Wrestlemania 2009 include Las Vegas, Indianapolis (The Hoosier Dome), and San Antonio (Alamo Dome).

It won't be in Indy because Summerslam is in Indy this year. It would be fucking awesome, but a no go.
I'd say San Antonio, Vegas, or MSG. It won't be in Wembley, they won't have their biggest event on Tape Delay here stateside.

If it's Cena Batista, I won't order. I think it will be Taker vs. Cena. I can't see Smackdown getting picked up, so I can see both with long title reigns trying to unify the title. If Cena ends Taker's streak at Mania, not only would I not watch Wrestlign again, I will burn all of my merchandise.

I heard some people talking and it makes sense, WrestleMania 25 will be held on the North Pole. Think about it, the ring set up on the top of the world! Id get tickets to see The Big Show vs a pack of seals! But seriously, WM 26 in Vancouver would be cool, to go with the Olympics in 2010

Im still hoping we can someday get it in the Coliseum were USC plays, in LA. That would be amazing.
I can see them going to San Antonio. They have never hosted a WM before, and the Alamo Dome is a very good building. Large, but still creates good noise. I would say Vegas, but they dont have a hig profile Arena to support it.

I read that too. Horrible idea IMO. But they could have it at the arena de azteca, were the NFL had a game a few years ago....set up for wrestling, the could probably fit around 110,000 people in that place.
I just dont think they should take away WM from the american audience that gives themn the vast majority of their buisness. The only exceptions I would say are Canada or the UK

the only places WWE would go fro mania that dont hold anywhere near 50,000 nowdays would either be MSG or staples center.
back to topic though. it wont be in MSG because they seem to like doing that every ten years. i would rather not have it in mexico because it needs to be in the US or canada. i feel the UK is out because once again its not in north america. the UK is good for a summer slam or survivor series ppv though. my best guess for 25 would be san antonio. hbk will be done soon and they would of course like to give him one more main event mania match in his home town. or it can still be in san antonio and that guy that is in every main event will be there once again

I think they should wait for Indianapolis as the Lucas Oil Stadium opens up next year and have it there eventually By the way Hoosier Dome will be demolished in October. Las Vegas would cool and historic but really now where to hold it Vegas isnt the warmest place this time of year either. That leaves the Alamo Dome which looks like the logical choice. To bad the new Meadowlands wasnt built yet.

No one has seemed to mention any stadiums in Canada yet, I looked it up, and a few that look possiable, are Olympic Stadium in Montreal (Capacity of 65,255), Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton (Cap. of 62,531), BC Place Stadium in Vancouver (Cap. of 59,841), or Skydome in Toronto (Cap. of 53,506)
Of course I wouldn't also rule out McMahon Stadium in Calgary (Cap. of 35,560), McMahon has an ego and I could see him wanting to hold the 25th WM in an arena that shares his name

cena vs undertaker bank on it
huwtimbrell38
02-22-2008, 11:36 AM
My hopeful card for mania 25:
WWE Championship
Cena (c) Vs Undertaker
This could be a great feud, cena and taker, the 2 undefeatables, Cena great on the Mic and taker, the ultimate mind game player. Cena has also already shown when taker won the rumble last year that he wudnt say no to being "afraid" of taker. Either played as Face vs Face or Cena heel turn at some point.
World Heaviwieght Championship
Edge (c) Vs CM Punk
These 2 are already building up a nice feud and on smackdown they have shown with taker/edge that they like to take time to build their feuds. they seem to have nice chemistry and the match they put on smackdown was very good. 2 of the future stars and Micheal Hayes is said to be a big fan of punk and wants him on smackdown.
ECW Title
Shelton Benjamin (c) Vs Colt Cobana
I can see Shelton having a long run as ECW champ from say survivor series through to mania. and hopefully Colt will be called up by then and with his charisma and ability i can see him being pushed hard with a mania win for the title by this time.
Jeff Hardy Vs Shawn Micheals - Ladder Match
The match they put on Raw showed great potential for a huge feud...would love to see the traditional "one eliminates the other from the rumble" to set up a feud. a ladder match between these could be incredible.
Women Championships Fatal 4 Way
Mickie James (c) vs Candice Michelle vs Beth Phoenix vs Kelly Kelly
Beth and Mickie as Heels, Mickie is a great heel and she isnt really doin anything as a face at the moment. Candice and Kelly Kelly are improving and if they keep improving then they can look forward to a big push. Also Kelly Kelly is already teasing a playboy shoot and i can see her walking out champ.
MITB Elimination Tables/Hell In A Cell Match
I can see WWE finding a way of trying to change the idea of MITB up because it could get stale. An elimination table match or Hell In A Cell Match would be a good way to do this. Participants:
Batista Chris Harris
HHH Keneddy
Orton Big Show
RVD Y2J
Well thats my thoughts and no doubt i will be hugely wrong! but wud be ace if i was spot on haha!! x
[QUOTE=justinsayne;369881]No one has seemed to mention any stadiums in Canada yet, I looked it up, and a few that look possiable, are Olympic Stadium in Montreal (Capacity of 65,255), Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton (Cap. of 62,531), BC Place Stadium in Vancouver (Cap. of 59,841)
I had mentioned Vancouver, but for WM 26, the same year as the Olympics. Vancouver could put on an excellent show coming off of the heels of the Olympics. Being in Vancouver, I think that Owen should be inducted into the hall of fame that year. Its his time, so do it in Canada, if they don't do it this year or in 2009.
For Wrestlemania 25, I think Phoenix would be a great place to have it. Somewhere in the South West would be perfect. The only other place would be Texas, or maybe back in McMahon Country, somewhere in the NorthEast, as it will be in Florida, and the Midwest the 3 years before that.
Matches
WWE Championship
John Cena (C) vs The Undertaker
This one makes sense, but only if Cena is the Champion during the draft, and undertaker coming in from the draft. I cannot see Undertaker winning another Rumble, so I see him being drafted over, and Cena being champion for at least 300 more days this year.
World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (C) vs Kane
I can see a pretty big Push for Kane, and a rumble win for him this year. I also see him winning the title from Edge. This will also lead to Kanes last reign, before he retires.
MITB
Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy vs MVP vs Rey Mysterio vs Finlay vs Umaga vs Carlito vs ...Triple H
Why wouldnt they put HHH in a match where the winner gets a title shot whenever he wants? it makes perfect sense. but I see Umaga winning
ECW Title match
Shelton Benjamin (C) vs CM Punk vs Tommy Dreamer vs Kofi Kingston Fatal Four Way
Kofi will pin Dreamer for hs first title win

According to several reports, World Wrestling Entertainment has already decided on the location for next year's WrestleMania 25. Rumored locations include the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana (the site of WrestleMania 8), Las Vegas, Nevada (which hosted WrestleMania 9), and Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas. It's likely WWE will announce the location and date of next year's WrestleMania at his year's WrestleMania, as they've done in the past.
Looks like they already decided what city its going to host WM25, I hope they chose Las Vegas

As I said before this maybe a two city race for WM 25, Vegas or San Antonio as Indianapolis will have SummerSlam this year and RCA dome (aka HoosierDome) will be demolished this coming Fall according to reports and they are opening the New Lucas Oil Stadium that only holds 65,000. If I had to put odds on it I will say SA has 60%, Vegas 30%, Indianapolis 10%
Here is an idea, Indianapolis should get it, except have it at the Indianapolis speedway. I bet they could put 400,000-500,000 people in there! Imagine half a million people at Wrestlemania
The matches they would have would have to be incredible
Greatest Wrestler of all time match
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Hulk Hogan
Special Guest Referee: Bret Hart
WWE Championship Match
Triple H(C) vs Chris Jericho
World Heavyweight Championship match
Edge(C) vs John Cena vs Mr. Kennedy

WWE TT Championship
Mark Henry/Big Daddy V vs Great Khali/Umaga vs Big Show/Kane vs Jesse And Festus(C)

Carlito/Santino(C) vs Hardcore Holly/Cody Rhodes vs Cade/Murdock vs Smith/TJ Wilson
Womans Championship

Here's the most logical/fantasy card I could think of for next year's Wrestlemania...
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP
Mr. Kennedy w/ Vince McMahon vs. Triple H (C) w/ Stephanie McMahon
They can drag this out for the next year... Mr. Kennedy or JBL are revealed to be the true illigitimate son of Mr. McMahon. The roles are interchangeable, if it's JBL vs. HHH, stick Kennedy in MITB or vice versa. It turns out HHH kept the results secret just so there wouldn't be another superstar to inherit McMahon's fortune one day. Stephanie agreed when it's revealed she and HHH were in cahoots the entire time, making their divorce back in 2002 merely a ploy, in other words, kayfabe. Now that's long-term booking, yo
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Chris Jericho vs. The Undertaker (C)
It's never been done before. I imagine Jericho will pick up momentum within the next year and re-bound from a very anti-climatic return for a fresh new main event with plenty of name recognition.
Batista vs. John Cena
THE MEGA POWERS COLLIDE! RAWR!
Edge vs. Matt Hardy
Matt wins. Lita returns to the WWE for an emotional reconciliation with Matt.
ECW CHAMPIONSHIP
Elijah Burke vs. Shelton Benjamin (C)
Or the dream alternative if RVD returns this year.
Rob Van Dam vs. CM Punk (C)
MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH
CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy vs. MVP vs. JBL vs. John Morrison vs. Rey Mysterio
Jeff Hardy finally wins the MITB. I imagine by this time, hopefully he'll be fully healed from those nagging motorcross injuries and ready for a main event push.
CAREER THREATENING MATCH
(After another (kayfabe) back injury, HBK returns only to be given the same ultimatum by Mr. McMahon.)
Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton Special Referee: Ric Flair
Let's face it, HBK is bordering retirement. What better way than to boost Orton's career by ironically having him retire the Show Stopper one year after Flair (Orton's former mentor) was retired by Shawn Michaels?
WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
Michelle McCool vs. Beth Phoenix or Melina (C)
Or the dream alternative if Trish returns this year.
Trish Stratus vs. Beth Phoenix (C)
McCool is the future of the women's division. She's the total package from what I see. She has beauty and is quickly improving in the ring. If she's not ready by then, Trish could always step in for a dream match.
The Big Show vs. The Great Khali
The Big Show alluded to this a few years ago... IT'S GIANT VS. GIANT!
Chaze2k1

WM will be in SA, Texas
WWE Championship
HHH vs HBK - San Antonio Son gets headline WM one more time and its against one of his bests friends for the gold.
World Championship
Edge vs Jeff Hardy- Hardy wins the RR and takes a shot at Edge and world title
John Cena vs Batista - finally we get to see these two go at it.
Career Match (Buried Alive or Casket Match)
Kane vs Undertaker - Loser actually is retiring from the business and will go out in style.
Kennedy vs Jericho - I think this would be a pretty good match and sometime it will happen
MITB
MVP, Chris Harris, Matt Hardy, Punk, Mysterio, Carlito, Kofi, Helms
Big Show vs Rey Mysterio sounds like a good match
Legend Killer vs Legends Son
Randy Orton vs Ted Dibiase Jr. (w/ his Father)
Umaga vs Bob Sapp - okay this is a bit of a stretch but you know they will do something out of the main stream
Women's Championship
Mickie James vs Nattie Neidhart

When did Michelle McCool become the total package of the womens division? I've seen her work at house shows, she's improved, but all she's really does are basic maneuvers. it really shows how pitiful the state of the womens division is in just because someone can do a few fancy arm drags and counters and that automatically makes them special. Plus she's basically a stick with virtually no muscle mass at all, and for a chick thats nearly 6 foot thats pretty sad.

not sure where it might be maybe phoenix(my home) or las vegas or new york city. the dream card would be as follows:
WWE Title/WHC Unification match
Undertaker v Cena (C)
not too keen on this as not a cena fan but if he turns heel i can see it happening. undertaker will meanwhile have WHC and cena will have WWE Title. unification match
Best Star ever Match -
stone cold v the rock
the rock wins making it rock 2 - 2 Stone Cold at WM
later tht year the rock challenges austin at Wm26 sayingthat they are 2 a piece at WM and whoever wins will go down as the absolute best EVER
Best Star ever preliminary rounds:
Hulk Hogan v Stone Cold
The Rock v HBK
both matches have never been done before
winners advance to final.
Edge v Jeff Hardy v Jericho(c) interconinental TLC match
there are just 5 matches that would make WM 25 the best ever!!

the hardyz vs the brothers of destruction both tag team titals on the line in a hell in a cell match that would be awsome
I would prefer Matt vs. Jeff in a career ending match with both losing by DQ.

hi when wwe was in london last year i spoke to a couple of wwe officials in the chelsea soccer club merchandise shop and they said they were toying with the idea of having wm25 in the uk . i doubt it but it would be brilliant the tickets would go so fast. when they come here the tickets are soooooo expensive,. if not wembley they could have it at the millenium stadium in cardiff wales it holds 73000 for soccer/rugby so add a few more ont he pitch . hasnt wembley got a roof which can close? it holds 90000 for soccer so would be a huge attendance

Why would they hold WM 25 In the UK? They could get just as many people to attend if they had No Mercy or another B show. People used to go crazy for Insurrextion and Rebellion. There would be fucking anarchy if a proper PPV made it's way here.

It's not that farfetched an idea. There have been talks of hosting a Wrestlemania in Mexico City, which would be the second country to host a Wrestlemania after Canada. Anywhere in the UK (particularly England) would be the next logical step if not Japan. Every year at Wrestlemania here in the US, European fans flock here for the event, so it would make sense for WWE to take WM to their loyal UK fans at least once. Considering how many soccer stadiums they have with massive fan capacities, it could very well be a record-setting attendance record. Not saying it's going to be WM25, it's ridiculously obvious it won't. But years from now, who knows?
P.S. Before Trish Stratus won the women's title, she was never an impressive performer in the ring. She honed her skills over the years. There's no telling how much Michelle McCool will improve in the upcoming years.

The WWE is worried about buyrates. Mexico City is still in the same time zones as the rest of the United States, I, would guess they are Mountain Time. So that would be no different then having a pay per vied in Phoenix or Colorado somewhere. It's not going to effect buy rates.
The WWE holding a pay per view in the UK, their biggest pay per view, gives six hours for fanboys to spoil themselves and not buy the pay per view when they find out that Cena wins the title again. It's all about the almighty dollar, and that's why the UK will never get another proper pay per view.

I really dont see what the big deal is. They should just give it lke a 930PM bell time, putting it on in the evening on the east coast, and afternoon in the west. Therefore putting it on at a decent time here, AND out there. I dont think that would really sour buyrates THAT badly, especially since WWE is marketed toward children for the most part.

I'm almost certain that Wrestlemania XXV is set to be held at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX.

There is no way that the WWE would ever do that. They would not have there biggest PPV of the year, especially the 25th Wrestlemania, air in the evening and afternoon in the domestic states. Although you could make an argument that the buys wouldn't go down that much, I am pretty sure they would. I mean there is a reason why primetime is at night, that is were the ratings are because everybody is home. Its pretty simple, why would WWE experiment with airing a PPV in the afternoon, especially Wrestlemania, that would never happen. I would expect it to be on US soil, say at Madison Square Garden, because it is an historic arena and Wrestlemania 25 is an historical event.

Somebody correct if i am wrong about this.
Mania is held at MSG every five years? So surely WM is going "home".
